Was highly rated a few years back, but Sporting's stock has fallen somewhat in Portuguese football. There also appears to be a feeling that he perhaps failed to reach his ultimate potential. Will be interesting to see. Fairly cheap so perhaps not a huge risk for their side.
He's been training with them since pretty much the day Harry joined. If all of QPR's transfers this month are of his quality, I'll be much more relaxed! Be interesting who Harry ships out. Unless QPR want (even more!) players on their wage bill who can't play, then for every one player who comes in, one player must go out.
He's meant to be really really good. Had a lot of hype around him a couple of years ago, united were interested!
Sounds like he failed to live up to this hype. Commonplace in football nowadays. On a side-note to that, Freddy Adu has lost his squad number at Philadelphia Union on the back of a rumoured falling out with the staff, and also poor performances last season. Looks like he may be shown the door this January/during the MLS off-season.
He was shocking for the Union. He only played a full 90 minutes like 4 or 5 times last season, absolutely dire fitness levels.
Always thought he'd been harshly criticised. He's not the best defender but many judged him on his games filling in at full back, when in truth he's only ever been a centre back.
