Hello, I'm new to the forum so go easy on me! My wife and I are trying to raise money for an Hull & East Riding charity that supports disabled children and their families. They are called The Echoes Foundation. They helped us out with our 20 month old boy, when he was diagnosed, so we want to put something back! With that in mind Andy Dawson has very kindly donated an Official City shirt bearing his name and number, and this has been signed by 24 squad members. I am looking to auction this off to get the best offer to donate to our fund raising efforts for this fantastic local charity. So.... If anyone can pass any advice on the best way to achieve the most, or even bid, then please please help! Thanks for reading
One option would be to contact ebay and arrange a charity auction, they have a special section for charity auctions and you can then post a link on all the City message boards and if you give the HDM a nudge they might do a small piece on it too(if they don't, just post a link on a couple of their most viewed articles). Alternatively, you could just bung it up on ebay yourself and post the links as mentioned above.
Just thought I'd say, I know my post wasn't exactly answering your question, I was simply buy-curious.
Ah, the joy of the smiley. I know it well. Very addictive. Anyway, aren't you going to doth your cap to me?
Buy Curious! Not sure in response to your how much! Thanks for the replies though. My Mrs, not that she wears the trousers or owt has suggested that we sell raffle tickets for a fiver each? Do you think that's too much AND..... is it do-able via the forums?
If you're going to raffle it, you really need to do it in person, you won't get people posting their personal details on here. Some sites have personal messaging(several don't), but even with that facility I doubt you'll get many takers, it's too much messing about sorting a ticket and getting the money to you. I would have thought ebay was a far easier option.
Are you doing the thanks, or She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed (even though she doesn't wear the trousers - yeah, much!!!) Just do as you are told
