Calling Stuart Attwell then. This game is just for you. Lol. I hope for a draw which will set Hull City up well for our game @ Peterboro the next day. We owe the Posh big time.
Nope, this clown. please log in to view this image Gavin Ward. Have a read at what Pearson said in his post match interview. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/16714076 Also, this absolute classic thread on FoxesTalk. If you've got 5 minutes it's worth a read http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/79557-my-mate-is-the-ref-tonight/page__hl__mate
......and all that from someone who earlier in the season was tossing himself off at the signing of Jamie Vardy!! (That's Preston new loan signing!)
Was I? Don't remember any Leicester fans over reacting to his signing and he's been promising and early on had a record of 1 in 2. But has since lost a lot of confidence and has slipped down the pecking order because of the form of Nugent and Waghorn and now the signing of Wood. He's still a very good player and will do well fo PNE. Not seen a striker work so hard before. Nugent has definitely profited with him in the side.
I used to hold the view that the play-offs were unfair as some finish third by a wide margin and a team a number of wins behind them get lucky on the day and gain promotion - at the bottom of me I still feel like that, but as many say we have all subscribed to it and it can break all ways - I particularly liked the point about it keeping the play-off possibles all keen to the end. The attachment I was too thick to attach was standings as of this week back to 2008 and final positions (top three) - we seem to be in the right place on percentages and points, so is a cause for some confidence. Considering how woeful lack of goals our GD is not as bad as it might be and a striker a and more goals from the others will resolve that. The biggest cause for confidence is our clean-sheet mentality - but comfort no; we can only be confidently uncomfortable, working towards comfortably confoident!
Have to say I'm not surprised. Going from being in the Conference all of your career to the Championship is a massive step up
The problem is, while he has the quality (we've seen it in patches) it might take a season for him to reach starting Championship standard for a club fighting for promotion. By that time we will hopefully be a Premier League club and I think that might be a step too far. One thing he does need is a good few sessions in the gym. So lightweight. Maybe a loan to a League one club might give him the confidence boost he needs.
You need to sign McLean to replace him then. I know NP is a fan since he paid over £1M for him before, and as an added bonus Millwall want him so it will go towards his quest to make them all commit suicide.
that foxestalk thread is brilliant, i got 6 pages in until i gave up though. Does Southern Fox ever reply on it? Does he still post at all?
