Mike White ‏@mikewhitesport Told that David Meyler deal still not formally completed yet despite Tigers team-mates offering "congratulations" on Twitter.
Is he a box-to-box type? If so then it's the sort of player we could do with. How is he at tackling/heading and the general dirty work?
Yes. Central midfielder who in 7 starts and 3 sub appearances for us has scored 3 goals and picked up 5 bookings. He's quite good at heading, although my view on that might be clouded by the fact that for almost 3 years we haven't bothered playing anybody other than Hobbs that has had any height to win them. Compared to the umpa lumpas we've had I'd look good at heading a ball.
Jack of all trades, master of none? He sounds like the sort of player we have. All of Drinkwater, James, King, Danns and Wellens (while superb in some areas) have faults that often get exploited. Usually their lack of physical edge.
Which shows just how freaking awesome he is. So good that we only need to put 9 players on the pitch as he is 3 players in one!! sorry - couldn't resist.
I hate to be the first on this board to actually agree with a post of yours or stickywicket, but I agree.
Bloody phone. Don't even know how that could have got swapped round - IX isn't a word but XI is. I'm giving up posting with that thing. Still. Meyler is freaking awesome. It's like playing a starting IIX
To be fair, I think he has improved game on game since he arrived, he was obviously a bit rusty when he first came in.
