A game I am looking forward to, the team news for both sides will be interesting, personally I wouldn't make many changes. Rest Rickie and perhaps Shaw but play everyone else who played yesterday. We're unbeaten from 3 games which before we played them, were very tough on paper. We need to carry on the momentum for Villa next weekend. Team news: Clyne could return for Saints. Lallana very unlikely to feature. Rodriguez may start in place of Lambert. Some other fringe players like Mayuka, Fox and Hooiveld may also feature. For Chelsea Petr Cech is ruled out of Chelsea's match against QPR tonight so may miss Saturday as well. Ross Turnbull is set to deputise. John Terry also unlikely to feature. Chelsea may also rest players. I agree we don't want to lose momentum but if a key player got injured or red carded we would regret it at Villa.
I would have this line up: -------------------Boruc------------ ---Richardson---Fonte---Yoshida----Fox -------------Davis------JWP--------- ----Puncheon----Ramirez/Guly-----Mayuka ---------------Rodriguez---------
------------Boruc------------ Richardson---Fonte-----Hooiveld-----Fox ---------Davis-------JWP---------------- --------------Guly-------------------------- Mayuka------Lee/J Rod-------De ridder Rest shaw, one centre back, cork, spider, punch and lambo. Don't risk ramierez!
Whats the latest on lallanas injury? I know they havn't announced anything yet but surely something must have got out by now. I'm getting worried its a CCL rupture!
I know a few people that work at St Mary's, they don't gossip much so don't know how credible their info is but it's just what they have both said.
My son is taking a group of friends to this game. Feel sorry for those going...this will be second stringers from both sides.
---------------------------Boruc Richardson-----Stephens-----Hooiveld-----Fox ----------------------JWP-----Chaplow -------------------------Reeves Mayuka-------------------------------De Ridder -----------------------Rodriguez K.Davis, Fonte, Cork, S.Davis, Hoskins, Chambers, Lee My team would look like this. Ring out the changes and give some fringe players a go. We won't get a better chance to do it this season and give some first teamers a well-earned rest. I believe that lot could be deceptively tough to beat if we stay tight in the middle and get the chemistry right.
Flexing their squad's muscles because they can I guess. While we had some time off, they were at the Club World Cup, so they've had quite a run of games. I doubt it's a ploy to play their strongest team here.
Can't believe the team Chelsea are putting out tonight. Looks like we are going to feel the full force on Saturday, they had better not **** up against QPR because of it.
Really unsure what team to put out, but would like to see Reeves/JWP/Chambers/Hoskins/Stephens involved at some point.
