No, on loan where we pay 40k, Citeh pay the rest. He still egts his full pay check, Citeh shrink their wage bill and we get a good player

I'd be happy with that if it was a possibility. Not unthinkable Citeh would pay a large chunk but I can't see how they can consider letting him. Toure off soon. Hopefully they sign 2 in the window, feel charitable, and no one else offers them cash or loan.

I would have Lescott on loan in a heartbeat. Him and Colo would suit each other perfectly I feel. He is a proper defender, no doubt about it

I think he is just what we need even if its on loan. He is experienced and is used to playing at a top level.

Lescott possibly has another 3-4 years in him at the top level (depending on injuries) and would be ace in defence for us. However, there is no way on earth we would pay close to his current wages so we aren't going to sign him. On loan? More likely but I'd expect Citeh to hold onto him whilst others are away, if it wasn't an ACON year then there's an outside chance we could have agreed a loan but not now.

Have the powers that be at Newcastle still got the policy that they won't bring in loan players? Think I remember that being stated a while back

I would hope that a potential relegation dogfight will help shape policy changes at all levels..

BTW- nice to see you out of your sexy poll prison... :)
