SIR ALEX FERGUSON is eyeing TWO more years as Manchester United manager.

Fergie — 71 on New Year’s Eve — saw his team beat Wigan 4-0 thanks to Robin van Persie and Javier Hernandez doubles.

He shrugged off rumours he is ready to hand over to Jose Mourinho or Pep Guardiola in the summer.

Ferguson said: “I’m hoping to stay for a bit of time. There is no one on the agenda, I can assure you.

"It’s very difficult as names have been bandied about and football is precarious.

“You could be talking about one of the potentially exciting young managers — is he going to be here in two years?

“I think top managers will always be in demand.

“Guardiola, Mourinho, David Moyes, there are a lot of successful managers out there and I don’t know what their plans are.

“Who knows where they will be in two or three years.”

Fergie was delighted with the away victory over Wigan.

He said: “It was a perfect start to 2013. It has given us a seven-point lead with 17 games left.”

i did, there were even signs of '' Rafa out'' on his first game against City, although i understood why your fans don't want him at your club after he had a go at you when he was Liverpool manager.

Mine wouldn't, I'll never like the bloke but will happily concede he is a good manager if he manages to win us some silverware.
