QPR assistant Kevin Bond has urged the club's "fantastic" fans to stick with them as they battle relegation.

Supporters showed their frustration following Sunday's 3-0 home defeat by Liverpool, but Bond believes they will continue to give their backing, despite Rangers' increasingly desperate plight.

"The fans were disappointed and frustrated at the Liverpool game, and they were entitled to be," he said.

"But what I've noticed about our fans is that it doesn't need much from us at all for them to get right behind us.

"One attack, one shot on goal and they're cheering us, getting behind us and encouraging us. It's absolutely fantastic.

"We are in a difficult situation, it's a difficult time, but if we're going to get out of it then we're going to do it as a group. All together. The lot of us. As a club. And that certainly includes the supporters."

QPR head into Wednesday night's derby clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge eight points from safety but Bond insisted lessons had been learned from the Liverpool defeat.

"We analysed and reflected on the match straight after the game," he said. "With that in mind, we will put things in place to make sure we give a better account of ourselves tonight.

"We have put the Liverpool game behind us but it's not forgotten about."

Not sure there's much we can do against Chelsea other than go ultra-defensive and hope to hit them on the break. Even then I don't relish the thought of 90 mins of last ditch defending

There was a fair amount of irony in some of the cheering on Sunday.............but it is the worst experience in football for me to hear a crowd turn on its own team, however deservedly.

    Agreed. Horrible.....hated it!!
I like the team of Harry, Bond and Jordan and I think they'll turn things around to a degree. We're probably just too far gone to be saved sadly. I'll never give up hope though!

    Was in a way cathartic.

I've accepted that we are useless so was able to take a bit of pleasure in how embarrassing it must have been for the like's of Cesar, SWP, Granero and Cisse who are fleecing are club for large amounts of dosh to be embarrassed prime time to a global audience. The crowd abuse was the modern day equivalkent of being put in the stocks to have stuff hurled at you.

I know Adel is a bit of a specialist when it comes to nutmegs but it was laugh or cry when his 40 ard pass from a corner managed to nutmeg SWP and then watch SWP and co scramble after Streling as they countered and nearly scored. After this SWP to me was visibly a broken man. A couple more child like swipes at the ball and he was mercifully taken off.

If anything good can come out of Sundays game it is that SWP will be given an extended break
