Asword. He said ''without'' not ''with'' mate. If he hadn't got the job we would be definitely in the top four..if he had remained in the job,we probably would be below Blackpool and challenging West Ham for 19th place.
Actualy a very tough question. A lot has happened this year to alter our performanes, Roy was not the only problem. I just prefer to forget his reign, both go our own ways and move on.
I agree with that. Personally I didn't have much hope for this season,I was expecting similar to the previous one. However with the developments since the new owners took over and the Kings second coming...I'm buzzing again. It now looks like the red machine is back and needs a few tweaks here and there and then it will be purring like a kitten.
my mistake ... the thanks woy led me to an awful conclusion ...without woy wed most likely be in arsenals spot
I think we should just pretend that August 2010 - January 2011 never happened. Sort of how there is no German history books refering to the period between 1939 - 1945 EVERYONE WAS ON VACATION! German Tour Bus
We should never forget. What irks me now is the way it's made out like Hodgson has taught us some kind of lesson and that he is, in fact, a top top manager by getting WBA out of the relegation battle, when we always said he was a mid-table manager. And where is he? Mid freaking table! The radio commentator last night mentioned our away form since Kenny took over. He made a reference to the previous away form but was probably entirely unaware of Hodgson's CV predicting that form perfectly.
Even Idiots have their own opinions. RoyIS a good manager. Roy was NOT the right man for Liverpool at the WRONG time aswell
I don't think anybody has said Roy isn't a good manager, but his time at Liverpool is definitely a blotch on his career, let's be honest, it was dire.
He was similarly bad at inter but people only stopped making excuses for him about that after he was sacked.
Just the wrong man for the job.He is a decent manager at the right level and ,I believe , a decent man but the job was just too big for him.Thank heavens FSG acted when they did..on the other hand if they had acted sooner we might well be in 4th place! Last nights team were all there when Roy was with the exception of (and it is a humungous exception) Suarez but then again no Gerrard, and he would never had them playing like that in fact I doubt Rafa would have done esp when you think of the youth in the team.
You forgot that last nights team didn't include two Hodgson ''favourites'' Poulsen and Konchesky. No matter how badly they played,Hodgson played them. I do agree that he's a lovely bloke, and he's a decent manager, but to be Liverpool manager, you need to be mentally tough. You don't do what he did by praising the manager of the club all Liverpool fans hate above any other and then say, they are free to bid for any of our players.Thats a sign of weakness. If that person made a bid for say Pepe Reina,Kenny would tell him to go **** himself and **** off.I'm not doing business with you,you senile alcoholic bastard.
Wrong man. Wrong time. Simple as that. I've met him and he's a really nice bloke. Just was the wrong job for him.
Although he shouldn't really have been appointed at the time,I don't think Kenny should have been appointed either.Kenny was appointed at just about the right time. The club was sold, the players themselves needed a much needed lift and its happened.I reckon it may have been damaging if Kenny was appointed at the start of the season. And secondly I don't think Hicks and Gillett had any intention of appointing him, because he wasn't what they were looking for and that was the complete opposite to Rafa and thats a ''yes man'' and Kenny is certainly not one of those.
woy said judge him after 10 games!!!! we did and he should of resigned then, but no he wanted to try and save face but he dug himself deeper in the sh*te. on another note the citeh v spuds game last night, just shows you how p*ss poor them two sides are but i do hope come sunday we will show the spuds how to play football and send them packing back to white sh*te lane, and another thing its not even on sky, they are showing arsenal and villa!!!!! why? they could change the listings.
He's a decent bloke but he didn't do himself any favours with some of his comments. His ''respect for Ferguson'' left a sour taste in my mouth and maybe others.Kenny respects him as a person, but doesn't mention it non stop,as far as Kenny's concerned he's the manager of the enemy, friendships go out the window. Its dog eat dog.If Fergie crosses the line,Kenny will put him in his place and I reckon vice versa would happen. But that ''Old pals act'' before a game gets up my nose. He also said that if Man United made a bid for his players that he couldn't do anything about it.He could do something about it he could tell them to **** off.I also think that because Hodgson is a Londoner was another factor that he didn't go down well with the fans,Okay we've had London born players, but then enriched themselves in the Liverpool way,but Hodgson was like a square peg in a round hole.
I must admit, bad performances or no, it was when he said he couldn't stop Torres going to United, then I wanted him gone, it was his gob and the figure he cut on the touchline when we were losing that decided it for me.
Figure he cut..... Rubbing his face will long be burned in many a fans memory, " you don't know what your doing!" fits that face rub to a T!
