Different class, no margin for error. I can't but want a Taylor victory but MVG is throwing some ridiculous darts at times.
Sublime to ridiculous!! Best TV of the day. 2 best players on the planet at this moment. 4-2 down and now 5-4 up and 2 love up in the 10th set!! Jesus it's great to watch
Taylor has just broke the young lads will. Can he recover? I wouldn't bet against it but Taylor is pretty ruthless. We may see some emotion from him here. Best moment I've seen for a while was earlier when they were singing "one Sid Waddell", Taylor acknowledged them, hit 180 and pointed to the sky.
Cannot argue with tat mm I remember watching Taylor play when Sid said “If we'd had Phil Taylor at Hastings against the Normans, they'd have gone home.” Amazing! And the 3 pickled onions into a thimble was awesome
It was a great game of darts, Taylor's experience in the end came through. Talking of funny Sid Waddell lines 'Barney in the gravy, dipping his bread dips' during 1 of Barneys 180s. Cracked me up referring to food, particularly when most darts players are fat
He used to commentate on the mosconi cup years ago and said a particular player was round the table as fast as linford christie on castors lol
Great game with IMO the clincher coming when the lad had the chance to go 5-2 up. Taylor knew it and his experience just ground him down making him doubt himself, pure brilliant!
Aye spot on Derry. Think we'll be seeing a lot of Van Gerwin in the not too distant future. Fantastic talent. We should start a petition with the BBC asking for Taylor to be personality of the year. World champion 16 times FFS.
Morning Mr R A White Well being a Stokie myself we watched the final at a mates house. Awesome match, great final and for me. Phil Taylor is was and always will be a legend. As was Syd Wadell. Just a point of note. This is the measure of Phil Taylor as a gesture, he is giving that trophy to Syd's wife. TOP men both = Legends.
Legend is a word which in my opinion is used far to much and often when it is not warrented..However, in Phil Taylor's case, legend hardly seems a word good enough to highlight his achievements in the world of darts..
