This thing with Whittingham is bothering me. If he got injured last Saturday why wasn't he subbed, and if the injury was detected after the game why was there no report of it anywhere? Why wasn't his injury reported after the game or on sunday like these things are with every other player? The only place I can find any mention of him being injured is on WOL and that was only there today just before the game began. And I wouldn't trust them very far either. Even in his after match comments Malky mentioned Taylor being sick but didn't say a word about Whitt's absence, like he didn't exist or didn't normally figure in the team so wasn't worth mentioning. So............... is he injured or is he not being played because they are in talks with someone to sell him?? I never thought I'd say this but.....I hope he is injured!
As I said on the other thread you mention this, the owners have shown a desire for promotion, they have supported Malky in building the squad, and they have added depth. I can't see any player Malky thinks is first team being sold.
I doubt Malky wanted to advertise to Brum that he wouldn't be playing. Let them worry and plan for him being in the team. That way they might over compensate and let us in the back door.
Can't see him being sold. Why add risk to missing promotion for £5-6M? If we don't go up, sell him in the summer if needs be, but not now. I read he was out before the game (though not much before). As Sparkey said, more disruption for Brum finding out at kick off than a few hours before.
You certainly can Snags rumour has it he may be back for the Ipswich game mind you I have to admit to wondering if there wasn't a sale + player in the offing
watch MM's post match interview with Shep on cc player... he says Whitts jarred his knee in the build up to the goal v Millwall and "wasn't quite ready" for Brum.
