A 3-2 win against Blyth Spartans. Former Hull City youth player Ryan Kendall is leading the line well. They're looking good for promotion to the Conference North, be good for the area to have two good teams locally.

They are doing really well, didn't they win their last game something like 5-0?

Yeah, 5-0 away at Eastwood Town. Just checked it out, Ryan Kendall has 18 (17 from open play) before today, but then Ferriby don't have any other scorers on more than 8. Looks like promotion will hinge on keeping him.

Fingers crossed that North Ferriby win the league and move up the ladder ... Biggest derby in football to become HULL CITY v North Ferriby by 2025

Unfortunately I think they will come unstuck if they have to go up again, the ground isn't up to Conference requirements and with a railway line behind it, the allotments at the south end and the astro turf at the back there isn't really much room for expansion. Unless they chose to ground share with us of course!!

Having never been to a conference ground that I can think of just how far off conference standard is Ferriby's ground?

They lost 3-4 at home to local rivals Rushall Olympic, so Ferriby will go further clear.

This is a link to Ewen Fields, the home ground of Conference side Hyde United. It's probably the worst ground in that league. Ferriby's capacity is 2700, but I'm not sure how many seats are in the stand.

If Ferriby get promoted they'll only be in the Conference North, still one below the National Conference which Grimsby are in so the facilities in comparison to National Conference standard don't really matter do they?

No, there won't be an issue if they go up, the attendances probably won't go up by too much, they only average about 500 ish a game. It's if they were to go up again that there might be a problem. Chester are looking good for promotion back to the Conference having come up from Ferriby's league; teams often go straight through in that league, Farsley Celtic did it not so long ago.

I knew Ryan Kendall from school days. He was a few years younger than me. I was in his twin sisters year.

He'd a decent kid. He's got a good attitude and works hard. I hope for him personally and Ferriby they can achieve great sucsess and hopefully make it to the football league proper in the future.

when did ferriby last get 500, excepting FC Manchester perhaps? I think that there were 300 there yesterday but I was at Blackpool so couldnt attend. I go when I am able and I reckon the average attendance is nearer 250 - 300 for most games. I think they would gain a few by offering some kind of incentive to City fans or at least to City passholders. It's always a great experience to see some 'real' grass roots football at close range for a change. I d encourage City fans to get along all the time to see a similar experience to the Reserves and at £9 its good value
