    What happened with Meyler?

Every week there seemed to be a thread saying 'he can play in this game' or 'he can't play tomorrow' over on your board.

Did you have him on two seperate loans and now you've signed him permanently?

It appears that after 28 days he could have been recalled (and stories were that O'Neill was going to but Meyler was suspended for Boxing Day) but Sunderland's injury worries lessened and now Steve Bruce has had a bid accepted.

He's added some steel to our midfield and scores goals too. Happy there, goal getting striker now needed to complete the jigsaw (unfortunately Fryatt out for the season). Hobbs has slotted straight back in and continues to be a great signing for us by NP (as are Chester, Rosenior, Koren, Evans, Brady)

Yes, it's the same scenario as Howard and Hayles that we discussed the other day. Good thinking by Nige and good of WBA for allowing us to do it this way.

Although like I said the other day, I think we'd have beaten Huddersfield anyway.

Hobbs was a good defender for us (but hoofed it so much) and he has come on leaps and bounds at Hull.

I think Nigel giving him the armband was the making of him. Seems to so much more dominating than he was for us, if I could choose between him and Chester i'd have Jack back any day.

I must say a very good point. We are a team that seems to be building for the prem so it would be very very stupid of LCFC to let a player like AK go unless a very silly price is put on his head.
He´s settling in in English football very well & I have no doubt that he will get better & better as time goes on, imagine him in the prem next season. A top prem DEF is still needed imo.

I have always thought Hobbs was too nice at times to be a centre half. He needs a bit of roughing up at times, but he I suppose thats why Wayne Brown complimented Hobbs so well

We just agreed a £1.5m fee to sign Meyler on a permanent.

Hobbs has been decent for us, but he's not even close to being in Chester class, not remotely.

I'm yet to be sold on Chester. I thought he was your weakest defender against us recently.

I can't comment on Meyler, not seen him play.

Hobbs always looked best for us with an experienced defender next to him. Wayne Brown organised the back 4 and Hobbs excelled

Faye, with Chester and Hobbs at each side of him has been solid. I'm sure he brings a calming influence to the team. Bugger all gets passed him, and must be great to learn from.
