We will if Fitz Hall is fit... As you say the championship is so competitive and you really do have to work hard in each game (TBF most of the loan signings have said that and certainly have done so)
The first offside was, I called it before the ball even hit the net. However, the other wasnt. Your defender had slipped and Vydra was level with him when the pass was made.
Fair enough, you've been hard done-by in that case. I was rather thankful to see Vydra on the bench after seeing his second at Brighton. I'm guessing he was rested? Strange decision by Zola.
I would assume he was rested as we have Man City in the cup on Saturday. But Zola is not adverse to rotating the squad for the sake of.
I guess Zola would say his replacement scored and FF set a goal up... Although I thought the latter was rather silly getting booked for the handball. It would have only annoyed the ref and like at the Valley I am sure had he given the official a chance FF would have been off. Same for Neuton...we just need to be careful that we don't come across as a play-acting side which generally we don't but do have a couple prone to it.
I think you do have a reputation for it. Which is a tad unfair, as a lot of sides do it, but it's your fault. Whoever it was who rolled over backwards after Fuller gave him a gentle nudge should be ashamed of himself, for example. As I say, you shouldn't need to, with the talent you have available. How long are you going to hang on to the like of Forestieri, Chalobah and Vydra?
We are trying to sign 4 of the loan players I believe (Vydra,Abdi,Pudli and Forestieri) Chalobah is going to be a top player for Chelsea...
Rested would be a bit strong - rotated more like, as has been the case quite frequently so far. I'd say more of us were puzzling over the midfield and defense changes that were both enforced by injury. Quite why Eustace wasn't playing instead of Murray is more of a puzzle - I'm certain we wouldn't have been out-muscled so often had he been picked. Similarly, I suspect that had Nosworthy started instead of Neuton, your forwards may not have had the freedom they enjoyed. However, you won and we lost - and it's all water under the bridge now. My fingers are crossed that Hall and Hogg are both fit for Saturday - if not, we are in for a tanking.
There have been lots of questions about Murray and why he has been overlooked. From what I heard the questions were answered. He just is not up to it for whatever reason at present. It seemed strange that he was selected when he hasn't even made the bench for a lot of games.
Hall says he hopes to be back for Boro, and Tommie wasnt sure about Hogg. Unfrotunately I didnt get to see Zola to ask about him.
i very much doubt we'll see Hall against City, but the league is more important...at least he thinks he'll be back for 'boro...
The kid Murray needs to spend more time at home and less time out on the social , concentrate on your football son don't miss the boat you will regret it
Captain Blackaddick seemed pretty spot on in his analysis from a Charlton perspective. I think currently we are a better team than Charlton and we should finish higher than them in the league but they really upped their game and deserved to win. Hall or Nosworthy really need to play against Man City. I know Neuton, Ekstrand and Hoban are better on the ball than the more 'cultural' centre-backs but we have to have someone to combat the physicality. I really think we will score on Saturday and we will give Man City a game. If Man City aern't up for it, who knows. However, I'd be lying if I said that I think we'll keep a clean sheet.
To be fair I think he did Fuller a favour - how many players do you see go down like they had been shot after being pushed like that and caused a player to get sent off? A bit theatrical yes, but he got straight up and made no fuss..
I've been seeing loads of tweets today from Watford fans telling Charlton fans to stop moaning. Not sure why because i'm not seeing any Charlton tweets but at a guess, i'd say they're seeing tweets about 'cheating' Watford...such a shame we're getting a reputation.
Yes...I am not sure we've got much of a reputation as such just twice against Charlton FF has cheated and there were other incidents we'd probably complain about if we were them. Mind you then did win and well their fans ought to just chill out and enjoy it!
Before we played you back in October we had a Huddersfield fan come on our board and warn us about the diving of the likes of Forestieri. So I would say you are getting/have already got a reputation.
We know Capt - TBH we have been worried about FF in particular as he does go down lightly and easily. But overall it's not a fair reputation and coming from Huddersfield it's nothing but sour grapes. We beat them fair and square op norf and they really did not like it - it was the start of their decline!
No-one has complained since really though unless they just haven't been that fussed about it because their own do it. That was one fan..and his manager said we deserved the late penalty which won us the game. Its true Forestieri does go down easily though.
