Just got back from the Blackpool match, and I have to say that Jakupovic was brilliant. The save which stopped Ince was World Class and it makes me laugh at those who'd said they'd been to training, watched him and thought he was ****e. I'd posted on them threads that I thought he looked good in training and should have his chance... Hate to say I told you so ;)

Meyler... Has to be signed permanently. No qualms at all. He is brilliant and has a bit of everything. He gives us that flair, defensive grit and attacking prowess that's needed to create many chances. He looks like a striker when he's in the last 3rd, yet he is box-to-box and makes plenty of good challenges. I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical after his first couple of performances, but now he's settled, he is brilliant. IMO, he needs to be ours. He makes runs into the box that no other player does, always creates chances, could have had 5 goals for us already!

FFs you got your own helicopter or what?

Thought Blackpool was 135.49 miles, 2 hours, 28 minutes from here according to RAC, reason I couldn't make it as I was working last night.

Not at home mate! (I probably should have said that)

I'm on the iPad at a Hotel. The whole point for Blackpool away is to spend the night there.

Haha, I do ****ing love it! <laugh>

3 clean sheets out of 4 and a match-saving save today! Not bad...

And cheers mate, you too! <ok>

Not sure if it has already been mentioned but on the back of the Hull Daily Mail today we are apparently submitting a seven figure bid for Myler in the region of £1.5 million. Surely i am not on my own in thinking this is
a quality bit of business to start the new year!!

One thing to note about David Meyler was his first start for us was against Crystal Palace, a draw which followed our defeat at home to Burnley.

We haven't lost a single game with him in the starting line-up.

Thats a hell of a stat for him to show.

Glad to here Meylers doing well, lad's a diamond, I'll be sad to see him go if it is permanent, but delighted to see him get his career going again.

They aren't bad at all. I've been to every game he's played in this year and there's nothing wrong with it. They go to a City player every time; it's up to said player to then win it. If anything I'd say Jakupovic prefers to go short with his play and throw it out, but when he does kick it I've not spotted any problems. Blackpool there were a couple that can be put down to the pitch, but that's not his fault.

I'd say his biggest fault if I'm being really picky is his tendancy to punch when he should go for the catch, but that stems from playing on the continent. I noticed Gilks used his size to power through the crowd and claim a corner on Monday, was quite impressed with him.

Amazes me he managed to get a goal keeping career as well as spending so much time making films about when he was a female environmentalist.
