Arshavin/Rosciky/Hell Ramsey on the wing would have done more than Gerv did. All round pathetic performance though.
And for you OXO didn't foul the West Brom player before the penalty? My God, whatever dude, there's no point with you, you're utterly biased and hopeless.
We can beat Swansea in the cup. If we play at our absolute best we might be able to beat City and Chelsea but only at our best. West Ham should be a win (not comfortable) but a win
Here are some facts, in our last 5 games, we scored 3 goals from the most fortunate penalties, 2 of them should've never been penalties, and today we got an own goal for us (Southampton have now scored 3 goals for us), that is the true definition of papering over the cracks. .
The midfield had no options. How anyone can look through how useless Walcott has been against dense defenses in 7 ****ing years is amazing. He doesn't make himself available, is **** with his back to goal, hence they can't link up. He can play right anyway, Oxo not giving him much competition there. Like I had said starting with Giroud was a no-brainer.
looked like they were all playing with no studs in their boots. slipping and sliding. and much hoofing to no one. omnishambles.
Heres my take on it today., Kos and TV are too similar (as I said earlier). They kept going for the same balls which meant time and time again they were within 6 foot of each other which meant that the full backs and midfield had to do more to cover the ground they had vacated. This pulled the whole team out of shape and add to that that Cazorla looks tired at the moment and we never made enough happen. The front players didnt get enough of the ball to make anything happen and there was not enough support for them either. Giroud didnt do anything to change my view he is no better than Bendtner. Credit to Southampton though, they put in a solid performance and outmuscled us for the whole game. Didnt look like a team fighting relegation to me.
Although Gervinho is mostly dreadful, it is hard for somebody to come on and make a difference for just 15 minutes. Giroud had double the time and did nothing. Gervinho did well to make that chance that hit the side netting, one of only a handful of shots on goal. He wasn't the worst on the pitch today, which hasn't been said a lot recently. Sagna takes that crown.
I said put him on the right and Giroud through the middle. I'm making use of 7 years of knowledge of Walcott playing against non-**** defenses.
What's your point about the OG? Our player (Theo) made that with a brilliant delivery. He had no choice other than to go it, because Kos was behind and would have tapped it in.
The midfield 3 of Arteta, Wilshere, Cazorla does not work for me. If M'vila is the only DM available then we have to take a chance on him
Anyone who still defends Gervinho having the right to wear an Arsenal jersey, should well and truly be ashamed of themselves. How on God's earth can anyone justify that man playing for Arsenal? The man is becoming a parody, the way he slipped, fell over, and almost injured himself summed everything up.
You are being harsh on Theo BUT he needs to press the last defender if he plays as a forward and not just wait for a pass. The one time he did that the CB gave a pass to Boruc that he might have been able to steal. But you are being far too harsh on him.
