You can always rely on the swans to Batter and i mean Batter teams from start to finish and still struggle to win.....If we had played any of the top teams we would have won 3 or 4 nil today but no we played one of the worse sides in the premiership who nearly everyone are scoring loads of goals against....What is it with us that we struggle practically every time we play a bottom side and at home as well....We were very lucky to get away with a point and did not deserve to win anyway.....so frustrating to witness us dominating but not winning.....WHY??? another 2pts dropped..
Don't know what game you watched Dai, but that was the most one sided draw I have seen this season. Villa got away with a lot of things including a stone wall penalty imo
Must say I find myself agreeing here with Dai, that has to be one of the worst second half performances I've seen from us this season, we were ponderous and slow in our build up, and Ashley Williams was one of the main culprits. I'm glad Ki is relegated to the subs bench, as he seriously needs a rocket up his Korean arse. I don't think we deserved anything from this game, due to some of the sheer arrogance we showed in taking our foot of the gas, to let this very poor, and I stress very poor Villa side, that have shipped so many goals in their previous 3 games, back into the game. But Lambert new he could always rely on the half baked dipsy Swans to give him a break, and we did. Luckily for us, Graham's desire to hit the back of the net, saved us from what can only be described as one of the most embarrassing defeats of the season! The mindset has to change regarding these bottom clubs, I agree with Ivor, we need to stop the arrogance, and treat them like MANU!..... PS: Our players attitude is clearly all wrong for these type of games, and it has to be sorted
I mean we did not deserve to win for all the chances we let slip and for letting a poor side 2 minutes from winning themselves. It would have served us right...we must learn to beat these teams especially at home after watching other teams show us how to do it and not dominate the game and struggle to score. We should have won this 5-0 at the very least that would have boosted our goal tally and instead just manage to draw by the skin of our teeth that saw us drop yet another two points against a bottom side....
He was watching the same game as me, and I agree with Dai completely, no good clutching at straws Jager over refereeing decisions, thought the Ref was fair in my view had a good game! Our performance today was simply not good enough! End of story......
We absolutely battered them but didn't deserve to win? bit of an oxymoron. I agree that the players weren't at their best today, but i think the fans should take a look at themselves today too. Absolutely no atmosphere at the ground today, almost as if a win was a forgone conclusion. but the thing that annoyed me the most was people leaving after they scored their second, absolutely ridiculous! some fans need a reality check and to remember who we are, this is the premier league, there are no easy games.
This is the clubs fault! They let in too many plastic fans after Wembley, and it was inevitable you'd see this sort of thing, I even noticed fans going early at the MANU game which I got tickets for, pathetic if you ask me!................
the final third and too many back passes with no testing of their goalkeeper was our downfall. If only we took some long range shots from time to time when the chances were there and you could see there were opportunities to do that....These back heels by michu are to frequent also as nearly all of them went astray, I dont think the players showed to much respect to villa and thought it was a fore gone conclusion we were going to win...
Disappointing performance - too many players walking in the second half. I agree with the majority of the comments from Phil and Dai. Overall I am pleased with our points tally over Christmas and we didn't lose.
Our performance today was a team that expected villa to turn over, and they did pretty much ! They were lucky very lucky! We were all over them and should have scored goals. What I was referring to with Dai is the fact that he said we didn't deserve it, I was there we certainly did deserve to win that
We had 23 shots 13 of them on target, so it contradicts what you are Dai http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20840916
we did not deserve it at the end of the game as we were losing 2-1 at 90 minutes and just by the skin of our teeth just about managed a draw...so how did we deserve to win???? I was there also..
Jager we will have to agree to disagree on this one, as I don't think we deserved to win this game at all today!..............
And we drawing at 85 minutes, the point is that we were unlucky not to be ahead up until half time, the fact that two attempts came off the bar says that, and that we had 23 shots plus a penalty turned down also says taht we probably deserved to win it.
did we win jager.....no so therefore we did not deserve to win. we did not deserve to lose but would not have been able to argue if we did....we scraped a draw and by that definition did not deserve to win...
No such thing as scraping anything dai, we drew no scraping, if we had won there still would have been no scraping. On the balance of play we should have won that though, the statistics backs that assessment, I was there I back that assessment.
