Defoe has been ridiculously greedy all afternoon yet still missed every decent chance he gets. Can we please finally abandon playing 2 strikers?
Adebayor getting a nice round of applause as he goes off. Nice to see him finally getting on the score sheet. Push on now, please.
They're not a bad side. 3 awful games doesn't change that and I still wouldn't be surprised to see them comfortably midtable.
even though most of their fans are ****s, am pleased they got a win as it must be demoralising for their players to keep on getting hammered!
30-ish shots, we're not shy in that department! Edit: here come the complaints that it wasn't good enough because we should have scored more....
Fairly easy win, despite Pleb's attempts to make it difficult for us and our defence having a sleepy few minutes at 2-1. Defoe seemed to be deliberately ruining my score prediction though, for some reason. Back up to 3rd. Mon the Saints! Swansea equalise against Villa. Sickener.
Clattenburg robbing Norwich against the Spammers, apparently. A number of dodgy penalty decisions going against them, including one against our own Harry Kane, scythed down in the box.
I'm always happen when we win - but our goal to shot ratio remains consistently terrible. Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea or Man City would have got 6+ today against that Reading team.
Job done. Good performance, good result. Yes we should have destroyed them with the amount of the ball and chances we had but I think Dempsey showed that he should start and play in the middle off one striker, he could've got a hattrick when he came on. I'd drop Defoe. Both strikers have been in poor form but it's coincided with them both sharing the striker role when on the pitch at the same time so I don't really care which one's dropped as long as one is.
No one's disappointed with the win but it is hard to ignore that we have dominated a lot of games and not come out with a result that reflects that. I wouldn't say the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal haven't done the same but there have been a couple of games where they've turned their domination into a rout, that's why they've both got much better GDs from less games.
