TBH I was surprised to see so many spurs fans predicting a 4/5 and even 6 goal win today...this is the type of game we've slipped up in at home for years... Wolves beat us 1 nil...wigan beat us 1 nil twice...Norwich beat us 2-1...Hull beat us 1 nil and drew nil nil with us...west ham drew nil nil with us...stoke beat us 1 nil...all thos matches were against clubs battling relegation at the time (apart from Norwich) so this ain't a surprise to me. I think teams sit back and don't let us catch them on the break ... they pack their defence and midfield and look to hit us late on or wait for a set piece.

On a side note...why are we so poor at set pieces?

Webb's done well to stifle us all game. Farcical moment of the half has to be when the lino flagged for a Spurs freekick despite being in a much worse position than Webb, who was virtually standing over it, and forcing Webb to blow his whistle and give us something.

On the subject of the game, I thought we passed it very well excepet for Dawson and Naughton. Our fullbacks aren't having a great game in general and we've slipped into the routine of lining up outside the box and taking shot after shot but that's as likely as anything to get us a goal, most of them having been quite good for a change. Adebayor's not really been in the game apart from one headed miss but again we can't take him off because we need goals and don't have any other strikers(<grr>). Lennon definitely needs to force more fouls from Hart or make sure he skins him everytime becuase he can have that Reading defence for breakfast if he tries.

We scored from one and most of them were good today, I thought.

As for predictions, Reading aren't great defensively and once they have to chase the game they'll be playing into our hands. I still think we should win comfortably, Webb will give up trying to fix the game once we've got a couple of goals :D

Adebayor! Thank **** for that! Maybe he'll feel a little more confident now.

Hodgson at the game. Was that Carlos Queiroz next to him?

What's the opposite of a homer ref? Webb's one today, whatever it is.

Should've been three. Nice to see Lennon's increasing willingness to shoot, though.

Former Tottenham striker Garth Crooks on Final Score:

"Spurs winger Aaron Lennon is capable of great moments and he put in an exquisite chip to the back post and Adebayor did the rest. The power he got from his neck muscles was fantastic.

"Les Ferdinand told me the coaches at Spurs have worked and worked and worked on Lennon's final ball and all that time on the training ground seems to be paying off."

Good to hear that Lennon has been putting the time and effort in on the training ground......

Karacan off, Robson-Kanu on. I think the latter caused us some problems late on in the reverse fixture.

Awful first touch from Defoe. Are we just going to keep wasting chances like at Sunderland then?
