Game should have been wrapped up inside 20mins. Vorm should have done a lot better and saved there only real chance.

I've given Ki lots of stick recently but in fairness Michu has lost possession plenty by trying a back heel or tricky ball instead of the easy pass. To be fair though he looks like he's tearing their defence apart along with Pablo and Routs. How many yellow cards are Villa on now? Are they collecting them or something? we can do this, they don't deserve a goal from this and we look 3-4 goals better than the scoreline suggests. COYS

We had total control but after 20/25 minutes we took our foot off the gas although we were easily dominating - commentators said as much saying that some of the urgency had gone out of our play despite the fact that we were looking good. This is what I have said in the past. We need a big character in midfield driving the others on when they start cruising. We were too comfortable, content to whittle away until something broke for us instead of pressing and MAKING it happen. We have squandered chances and should have gone in three up. With Vorm's pathetic dive not helping, Villa will now believe that it is their day and will have their tails up. I can't blame Michu for his misses because he at least hit the post and his second effort was self created with a superb piece of skill. Danny's miss was worse because he should at least have hit the target. The game is still there for us but we have got to play with more intensity. We have all the skill but a lot more attitude is required to go with it.
Kudos for ML's tactical call: instead of playing out from the back too much Vorm is playing long balls because Villa are trying to press high up the pitch. Another example of why ML is better than Brenda!
Ivor totally agree about the midfield powerhouse, also we are seeing why we need a better striker to bury these easy chances we've had.
God I hope so.... I can see it finishing 1-1 at the moment. They're soaking up everything we try to throw at them.
