The difference was our defender was facing the opposite way when the ball him him and knew nothing about it, your defender had his arm raised on purpose to stop the ball hitting him in the face. At worst I expect the decision to go to 1 team in and most of the time both to be given to us, its a disgrace that neither were given but then we are used to it. Weve only ever got decisions like that once in the PL and that cause their captain to go on a racist tirade..
Thats what we should have done, then we might have got the penalty. Teams do that to make sure the next big decision goes for them, we just accepted it. The only people that should have been laughing were the ones laughing at greens pathetic effort.
Knowing the way our luck is at the moment, by raising his knee green would probably saved it but the ref would have give them a penalty for a foul by green !!!!!!!
Excactly, that is just what I thought about that situation. Only a very poor ref. did not see it correctly and it only adds up to our very unlucky (and bad) season. Anyway, I do predict 3 points against Pool on Sunday which will change the table / chances a lot I guess.
Yes it was quite weird for me. Watching La Liga I was used to players protesting at every ref's decision. I don't say it's way to go but those 50/50 you must be on the ref's ass. Even when we should have got the penalty our players weren't aggressive to claim it. Then when SWP went past his marker and made a cross to Mackie. No one even complained. It's fine to be good guy and not a cheater but some pressure must be put on the judge IMO-
It's all in the eyes with Green. His eyes register 'victim'. They should state 'commander'. Whilst he has delivered a few good saves in recent weeks, that's the least we should expect from an overpaid 'pro'. But can we rely on Robert Green? Answer's in the eyes!
