This lad seems on the verge of going out at least on loan if not permanently as he is out of favour at Citeh.

    Would you take him?

Personally if we got Douglas and then went for a loan with an option to buy on this lad I'd be pretty keen on seeing a deal done.

We need someone like him, certainly.

Would he need to take a cut in pay?

I'd take him still think he is a class CB.

Big and strong, a bit past his best but he'd still do a good job for somebody.

On loan yes but wouldn't fancy his 90k plus wages at 30 yr old long term.

Didn't know he was getting that much, can't see him ending up here now.

Lescott, Dawson etc... Would love to have one of them and get another one in from abroad. We should have 4 CBs to chose from, especially with Saylor's fitness the way it is. 2 and Willo's pushing it in the extreme.

Realistically, I can see us signing 1 CB, 1 striker and Debuchy... Still, wouldn't complain too much, Debucy is sexy!

Would take him in a heartbeat. One of the better CBs in the league, definitely isn't near his top form now, but still a class above Willo.

That's a bit harsh in Lescott.

I'd have him on loan. Is at least 2 classes above all our CB's except Colo and would be a solid spine for us.

He may be on 90k, but Citeh do pay large chunks of loanees wages. Bellamy was on 80k, Cardiff paid 10 of it, Citeh the other 70. Bridge would have been on a lot, I can't see Brighton paying more than 10k of it.

I reckon he'd be a great signing on loan, certainly better than Willo...

Media talk, not a chance he'll be going anywhere
We have no cover at CB as it is,kolo is off to the ACON and Micah is not expected from back from injury until march
We will be looking at bringing players in not shipping out

He's Steven Taylor level, but without the injuries.

He is not the type of player we go for anymore. If we were to dip our toe back in this market again aren't there cheaper options? Sure I read that Brede Hangeland is out of contract in the summer for instance.

if we got him for £40k per week and the young French CB plus Debuchy, that would be very good business.

Could you see a modern day footballer agreeing to more than half his wages? I'd be surprised if Citeh let him go unless they have a couple lined up, but I'd be even more surprised to see him arrive here. Plenty clubs would pay more than us.
