Well.....I'm clearly paddling against the tide on this one! So.....by Harry's reckoning, every time it appears that the game is lost and there's no way back, us fans may as well get up and go home, as Harry has already thrown in the towel. No point staying and cheering or supporting the team, as they won't be trying to get back into the game. For 70 minutes in the corresponding fixture last year we were completely out-played by Liverpool in what most agree was the best performance by any away team last season. Virtually a carbon copy of yesterday. Then we got a goal and the rest is history. The Premier League throws up these things quite regularly and Harry has gone down a little in my estimations after simply giving up at half time. Shameful!!
No but i thought the ref got off very easily, we should have had a clear penalty for handball and their 3rd goal was offside with Suarez stand right in front of Cesar. It could have been a different story going in at 1-2 as it should have been.
Agree with Flyer on this as Henderson moved his arm up no question. Good spotting Flyer ... makes no difference but i agree with you 100% Did you also think Liverpool played their best to date this season? because i do and it had little to do with how poor we were IMO
Hopefully I'm not misreading this (that is, it is actually sarcastic?), but I find it staggering that Hoilett can't get a start. There are some posters who respond to criticisms of SWP with the 'were you there' taunt, but it is incredible to me that a winger who has NEVER scored a PL goal for QPR, and rarely provides a telling cross, let alone an assist, can get such an extended run in the side. Hoilett has frustrated at times, but at least he's scored and has had a number of shots on target. Perhaps if hoilett was given the same opportunity to impress as SWP (who's played a season and half without doing so) then we might start creating and scoring a few more goals.
There's no harm in being positive, but your posts sometimes verge on the ridiculous. You have very strong opinions but you very rarely illustrate your argument with any relevant evidence. For example, Henderson, who was surrounded by QPR players, was free to make a simple pass into Saurez directly in front of our Back 4. For me, this show poor organzation, communication, a lack of leadership and, perhaps most worryingly, a willingness on behalf of some players to go all out for the side and close down. Similarly from corners we were caught out at least twice by LFC playing short, one of which led to a goal. Do you see nothing wrong with this? From a poster who continually claims to have played professionally, it's really quite staggering that these weaknesses don't draw any criticism Regardless of whether Liverpool played their best last night, the minimum required from any side are the very basic, though fundamental, attributes listed above, at whatever end of the PL they are.
I don't think anyone threw the towel in Col ... you start poorly as we did i see it as you have to get back into the game with a controlled response ... Harold tightened it stop the leak and build on it from there so you have sort of platform to build anything on. its was for me a team eating confidence Liverpool and us who was losing it by the minute. I didn't go yesterday with my Liverpool mate Mick but I can tell you that he said that was their best so far ... Mick feels sorry for us as it just wouldn't click and also believes as i do that our fan base is frustrated ( i call them infected as you know) Win or lose Liverpool are always on song and thats the difference we have lost that maybe understandably but the team needs us. Jose Mournihoooo would have trouble lifting us at the moment what else is there but to believe. A reported 20m kitty may or should raise poster's moods. I like the honesty of Harold at the moment and i am certain we will all feel winnings ways soon
good points and taken on board but I made the point that Liverpool played well in fact their best maybe this season how does that not illustrate things. Our heads are filled with doom. we lost 3-0 at home and was outplayed how it that ridiculous? Can you tell me we will be relegated? to me that is ridiculous . Was sets me apart on here is that i am prepared to admit i was or am wrong. and I agree with Flyer that we should of had a clear pen whether we deserved it or not. Smart player Henderson yesterday. Ratboy was very good and credit to him yet we only see fault. He was very lucky to get that second I will not accept that ... the excellent clearance went straight to him ... fine lines very ... fine lines It is the easiest thing to do to pick holes in any goal scored by anyone That my friend is not ridiculous or then every game should by rights end 0-0 ... Watch any Italian football over the years? Our game is now a complete free for all
I watched both your games against Liverpool and,as a neutral,I have to say they were totally different.Last year you were only two down and when a game goes back to 1-2 then the dynamic changes totally.Comng back to 1-3 isn't the same at all and Harry decided that a comeback wasn't on.I think he was right your players apart from Mackie looked uninterested.Good second half performance by Derry, another committed player. You don't have enough of them.
True, any goal conceded can be picked over. But fundamental basics are, at times, entirely absent from our play. Your positivity would seem less like provocation if getting beaten, and indeed outclassed in every aspect (including effort) was not a recurring feature of QPR's performances this season. The fact that other sides, notably Swansea, Southampton and WHU, all of whom are recently promoted, have walked away from Loftus Road after exposing our fundamental weaknesses speaks volumes about our predicament - and indeed the virtual certainty of our relegation. I would suggest that the critical flaws listed above (plus others unnamed) are more apparent in our team than any of the green shoots of recovery you continually seem to perceive. PS. Yes, I used to enjoy Italian football when it was on C4, and I agree that it's totally different; though this shouldn't prevent us from closing down - that's why HR brought on Derry, after all.
Harry was bang on?????? WHAT!!!!so he has conceded that you are not good enough to make a fighting chance of it then and conceded qpr are relegated....What manager does that with the second half of the season still to be played..Shocking attitude and shows he dont really care one way or another and is only there for his pay cheque...
Harry was being diplomatic with his comments whilst not writing us off. Let's face it if Harry said what we all know he's really thinking it would have been something like this: "This is the biggest bunch of no good lazy c*nts I've ever had the misfortune to manage. If I had my way there'd be no more than half a dozen I'd keep in January and the rest can f*ck off and count their money. I made the changes because my missus had more chance of scoring in the second half!..."
the players are good players that were badly managed by sparkey and harry is no better, These same players were good at their last club so why are they not good now??? bad management is the answer....
Agree there are unaddressed issues and tactically 'Arry ain't the most astute. But he's got a great track record. Can't see anyone in his position who would tarnish it by not caring about his performance this time - and the people that pay his wages. 'Course he cares. But what to do when the teams he can select are so used to being second best? All the 'what ifs' in the world won't change the fact that we were very second best yesterday - and have been against pretty much every team we've played this year. Don't envy 'Arry at all, nor the owners for that matter. Unless something positively dramatic happens sometime very soon (like banning dribbling and choreographing some effective pass and move), personally can't see us winning a game until we get back to the NPC. Sorry, but maybe the view from this side of the Thames is a big foggy. Hope so anyway.
I beg to differ there as a good track record...where spurs i suppose.....their team picked itself and even spurs got rid. saints, pompey twice, west ham...what has he done...he is the most overrated manager out there with good publicity agents who build him up as something special. I cant see him any better than sparkey at the end of the day and some of his comments are bizarre to say the least....
True It was only his publicity agents who thought he would get the England job and as it turned out he was never considered by the English FA anyway..
Okay Dai's mate Huw's mate, got me there. Try this one for size then. Wish 'Arry could do for us what he did for Pompey before he got the tug from Spurs!
