Chelsea now in the hunt! Trying to get him on loan to team up with Torres.Wages of 110 grand a week!!!!
If there is a choice between Chelsea and Swans then no doubt it will be Chelsea. If he needs games to get fit then the Swans is perfect for him though. A mad story is the Villa one.
I really wonder if a deal has already been done. One or two rumours on twitter, but that is all they are right now. However, I believe we have learnt from past mistakes and may have already nailed down some new additions to avoid the January mad-house.....allowing us to focus on the games and continue our march toward Europe
Jack I think you might well be right mate, Huw made a few gaffs in the championship, which I'm sure he's learned from!..........
Guys i just hope who ever we sign in january are signed early so we can get them playing with the squad straight away and not leaving it till 31/1/13 as we have sometimes done.
Laudrup has come out and said that the only Villa coming to Swansea will be Aston Villa on New year's day, so I think we can draw a line under that one now http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11731/8363440
ML has always kept any targets close to his chest. but i think we all agreed this has always been a non starter.
If Laudrup said it aint happening then fair enough, but it aint happening after they had talks with his representitives.. As i said at the time, the fact we even get mentoined in the same breath as this player shows how far the club has moved since Laudrup arrived. Nice while the story was going around, a shame it never went any further !
who needs him anyway.....I see that some Russian club have offered to buy messi for over £200 million so i think we can safely say we lost one of our targets anyway.....never mind we have some money when we sell tate to bleeds next week..
Dai, dont mock that Anzhi Makhachkala have been linked with buying Michu in Jan. They have a billionaire owner and he's happy to splash the cash http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FC_Anzhi_Makhachkala http://hereisthecity.com/2012/12/18/swansea-citys-michu-a-target-for-russian-big-spenders-anzhi/
Seems Liverpool ain't got the stuff.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...rss&ns_campaign=socialnet-twitter-dmailsports
Well its quite obvious the smoke surrounding the player was genuine down here but maybe the money side of it was a major stumbling block!! its clear he is being touted around the prem league and i guess the Swans may have been the first port of call, i beleive he shares the same agent as Pablo and/or Laudrup so it would make sense to a certain degree. Laudrup shot it down in flames and thats the end of it i beleive but its good to know our club is now strong enough to be mentioned in the same breath as the likes of David Villa. I was stunned when we were linked with Laudrup and amazed we managed to sign Pablo H. its a progression that will still stun us as long as we live the prem dream!! Dont be suprised if we get a top level "name" player signing for this club while Laudrup is here, we are well thought of in Spain and the fact Michu has been told he is going to win an international cap can only add weight to the Swans when targeting top talent from abroad. The villa dream was nice while it lasted and i know it was true that words were spoken regarding him, in football you never know but it looks like he will stay in Spain to me
I think Barcelona need to be a tad realistic here, they have upset one of their top legends in the game, who wants to play more time on the pitch, which they don't want to give him, then the put a price tag for a loan spell that's not realistic given his age etc, sorry but that's not going to help their situation with Villa, who's likely to explode big time, if their going down this route! Swansea would have been a happy solution for both clubs................
he`s not a barca legend in any way shape or form dude,a good player that has had a injury and he`s finding hard 2 get back into the starting line-up>>>>is that so shocking with the players barca have at theyre disposal.......come on phil be realistic it was never gonna happen from the beggining.
The funny part of that they are chasing Ince who they sold to Blackpool a little while ago for £250k , now Blackpool wants £6m for him. They are bound to pay it, it's the bank of Liverpool after all
Skybet's latest odds are Chelsea 3/1: Swans 7/2: Arsenal 8/1: and Liverpool 10/1. I doubt Chelsea will still be in for him as they have signed Ba and Liverpool have signed Sturridge. Unless Barca are going to sell him outright, they will want him to have games which he will get with us and I doubt they would loan him to Arsenal who are Euro rivals. I don't hold out much hope of him coming particularly in the light of Michael Laudrup's statement but stranger things have happened........
It's a long shot but I'm not suprised by ML's statement. Doesn't he have to say that either way? Isn't it normal to deny transfer rumors whether they are true or not?
