We need cover at the back as well, Chico is great but monk is not getting any younger and we've got to have competition there as well. Two quality players for every position has been said. Funnily enough Martinez said the same thing, we're still waiting IMO
Remember Bartley is fit again, but yeah could probably do with one other to enable Situ to get some experience on loan somewhere. I've heard good things about Scott Tancock (young centre half) as well... The squad is actually looking (in theory) pretty good, but it's whether those players have impressed ML enough to be given their chance...
We've been linked with Drizzle's Adomah again http://www.ghanasoccernet.com/swansea-step-up-their-bid-to-sign-bristol-citys-star-albert-adomah/? The report says that discussions are at an advanced stage, but then they go on to say... "Adomah is a key part of City manager Derek McInnes’ planning and the Scot will not want to lose arguably his most exciting player, let alone to a Championship rival. ... so I don't think we can read too much into it if they don't even know what league we play in!
Jose Canas story is up on The Mirror http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/swansea-set-to-move-for-real-betis-1512434?
As far as I see it, we need a strong mid field general in the mold of Bodde, who can boss the midfield like the evil genius used to, and a striker! We have enough cover at the back with Monk, Tiendalli, Ben Davies, Situ, Bartley, Tancock, and that's without including Jazz Richards, who although being a midfield player, has played well at both LB & RB, not to mention Taylor must be nearing a return some time towards the end of January early February. So we do not need any more defenders! Striker & Midfield General please!....................
Monk to be fair is having a great season when he is called upon to play but We still need 3 or 4 players to complete the squad, A lone striker, 2 defenders and one defending midfielder.imo
Yes, me! but not much this season, though my son has played against Swans youth for the Reds, they beat the Swans 3-2, but that was some seasons back, Pascoe used to manage our reserves, and I can tell you he is clueless, and I'm glad he's with the Scousers!........
I still have a sneaky feeling about David Villa on loan. We are still favorites on sky bet, and the move would make sense if Barca want to get him first team football......then again, maybe a drunk too much Fanny Branca last night!!
Well Liverpool were turned down a loan bid for Villa as they want £16m to let him leave. Aint gonna happen.
Wasn't that to buy at the end of the loan season? Might be wrong, but I don't think they want 16 Million for a half season loan spell, hell not even Messi is worth that in my view!..............
