assuming the ancient borough of shrewsbury are not in L2 next season i predict the following for promo in no particular order bradford, plymouth, crawley and gills. to go down barnet and possibly hereford
Crawley are likely to be a real force and they've got a real shot a promotion. Don't think Plymouth will have much of a chance though- at this rate they'll be lucky to have a club come August!
a new consortium is about to take over plymouth. despite of having to sell off a few good players there remains an excellent squad and a good manager peter reid who is happy to carry on. green army
Don't forget that Crawley's chairman died, so it's questionable whether or not the same money will be available in 2011-2012.
Crawley have some good lower league players but nothing more (we know about Smith and Hunt from their Shrews days). Nothing for other L2 clubs to fear - play off challengers if they have a good season. Relegated teams often struggle to adapt but I'd expect Swindon or Bristol Rovers to regroup quickly, though probably not both.
i had not heard about crawleys chairman, but i do know it is a very rich set up there. as for rovers and swindon, i suspect alongside daggers they may need a period of consolidation. stockport and lincoln may be out of the league for some time and unless new directors rescue stockport i fear they have further to travel south. that bsl is now stuffed full of ex L2 clubs and it realy should have a 3rd league status though not late entry into the fa cup. it really might give everyone down there a feel good factor except the bottom 3!
You've missed out Sergio Torres at Crawley (no relation to the misfiring chelski striker). He was great for Wycombe and then went to Peterborough, unfortunately fell out of favour when they were fighting to get into the Championship. He could be the best player in Lg 2 next season. I predict Port Vale or Crewe will be forces to be reckoned with, possibly Bradford too. And Poxford. And also any of the sides in the Play Offs who don't go up will do well too.
Vale have flopped since Adams left and it can't see them turning it around anytime soon, same for the Bantams(which actually means a small kind of chicken) Sky's the limit for Crawley, (P)oxford could do well. Stanley for the title!
