Some people will sell themselves just to be popular. Selling their souls is simple. I never liked anyone trying to be something they are not. I once came across a Labourer with a window cleaning firm whose boss had a contract with a small Number of EPL clubs. This person has claimed that his experience doing some Work for these EPL clubs gave him some insight to their workings. I suppose Seeing in through the windows would give him some insight. Why can people Not be just themselves.
Stolen from another site, but checked out the link for validity. 18 Celtic games shown so far this season. Average viewing 213K peaking at over 500K for Barca game Our SPL figs are 114K. SEVCO average is 112K. I recall some plank from the dark side posting early viewing figures for them, which on the face one it looked good, but obviously the freak show circus bearded lady syndrome interest has dropped and the comparative figures reflect true interest. Over time the gap will widen in our favour as the freak show interest continues to decline. Main point is that the MSM claim that SEVCO have a larger support or attract more interest is clearly mistaken and in fact radio phone in progs etc which cater and pander to their like are losing the larger part of their potential audience and rags are losing the larger part of their readership. As we continue to attract British, European and global interest then the loss of such an audience will seriously harm MSM revenues, which once lost will be nonredeemable. This will be especially true if the suspected financial collapse of SEVCO happens again. Not just Glasgow is green and white. Our future looks Rosy ............the rose thorns lie at the door of SEVCO. No doubt this thread will be hidden away in the general SEVCO thread because it mentions their name, but the interest in the topic I felt warranted its own thread. The theme is the general interest in our own club. Comparison is given simply because an issue was made of it from the dark side and as predicted by some on here that would decline. Sky may well decide that the SEVCOless SPL can stand in its own two feet.
To be honest it's not really any surprise that The Rangers viewing figures are the same as they always were, they have the same number of supporters after all. I personally cannot recall the last The Rangers game I watched as I have practically no interest in them or their performances, squad make up and so on. It is interesting to see that despite the scare stories and warnings of Armageddon, that it has not come to pass, because those dire warnings were based on the false premise that everyone else who is not of a Rangers persuasion would lose interest in Scottish football and cease watching.
RIP Hugh Adams if only they had listened http://www.scotsman.com/sport/footb...x-pillars-with-warning-of-bankruptcy-1-595808
I won't cover all of his incoherent and poorly though out blog, but he does claim the implications for the SFA and the SPL would be cataclysmic with regard to international football competitions, in which the Scotland team competed. FIFA and UEFA he claims would act against the Scottish football authorities, in his world with the strange coloured sky, for the now defunct rfc failing to register players properly. Problem with this new Armageddon is that it is PISH. If Nimmo Smith decrees that titles and trophies should be stripped due to incorrect registration of players by rfc UEFA and FIFA would have to prove that the Scottish authorities knew about this and were effectively complicit in the incorrect registration. Proving such would be very difficult, consequently without such proof, Scotland could be said to have been acting in GOOD FAITH and so not be held responsible. If the European and or world authorities could prove such then Scottish football regulatory bodies would be in serious trouble and of course this would open the door for Celtic, not SEVCO, to request leave to play under another national authority. McMurdo is correct when he alludes to serious consequences for rfc and consequently SEVCO in relation to European Club competition participation. UEFA could punish SEVCO if they perceive them to be in any way a continuation of the defunct dissolved rfc or if SEVCO continue to claim to be the same as the liquidated entity. This would probably lead to a lengthy ban from European competition, perhaps a decade or so. Such a prospect could lead SEVCO to admit to being a new club, or UEFA declaring then such by way of not punishing them for the sins if the defunct entity, which is many claim SEVCO are part of. Of course, Nimmo Smith could find that the registration was perfectly normal, but that opens the door to every other club in Scotland, especially Celtic finding a way to remunerated players outwith the normal banking system, yet avoid claims of tax evasion. An interesting DILEMA.
Don't see why fifa and uefa would get involved, it has nothing to do with them. The players were only improperly registered for the spl, not other competitions.
Players are registered with the SFA. So all games in Scotland. To compete in UEFA competitions players must be correctly registered with their FA. So all games in yoorup.
Yeah but they were registered properly for those competitions according to the rules. Its only the spl/sfa rules for league and scottish cup that they broke. Just like why the sfl aren't doing an investigation because according to their rules they were properly registered.
When's the ruling so this "issue" with Rangers (a team who are no longer Celtic's rivals according to some) can be put to bed...
I don't think that is correct. If they are incorrectly registered, they are incorrectly registered for every competition
Oh dear. Eric, to enter the European competitions they must be correctly registered with the SFA. SFL aren't doing an investigation as rfc now defunct never played or were part of the SFL, they were members of the SPL. In order for the UEFA Ffp rules to have any meaning they must surely ensure that serial decade long improper registration of players must be punished and they set the precedent with Sion who improperly registered their players with the national association. If they are improperly registered with the SFA then consequently they are improperly registered for all European club competitions with in that period. UEFA will use rfc as the perfect example to show they mean business, as the club no longer exists, which UEFA have confirmed by not permitting new clubs to enter European competition for a period of three years after their birth. Defunct rfc will of course have a UEFA coefficient as they did after all compete in those competitions, just as Urinea now liquidated still have a coefficient.
Deceased people are still incriminated even though they cannot be punished, but the legal process is gone through in order to do justice for those who were victims.
The league cup is an SFL competition Albert and I think you may be wrong with regards to the coefficient. I imagine Sevco and Urinal will start from 0. A coefficient is for a 5 year period. Urinea and Rangers existed until very recently so still appear as having one. The answer will become apparent when Derry City start their European campaign in July.
UEFA have already proved what they will do with Sion, who were ejected from European football, deducted massive number of points and fined, yet they were deemed to have cheated in only a handful of games. If defunct rfc are treated more leniently then Sion could open a case of prejudice against UEFA with the COSFS. After Doncaster said last summer that he wanted SEVCO in the SPL, within hours UEFA made a statement that they would leave the decision in the hands of the Scottish football authorities, but were sure that same would abide by UEFA and FIFA guidelines and regulations and rules, which shows that UEFA are keeping a close eye on what is happening. UEFA did not want to undermine the SFA or SPL but it was a warning shot over the bow, consequently SEVCO played in the 2nd round if the SC, as would a new senior club, which had not played in the SPL in the previous season.
Also, if this is about Rangers and dual contracts etc, why you referring to them as Sevco??? Are, in your head, Sevco not a brand new club deviod of history...so any titles that are stripped will be stripped from Rangers.
