But Graham has been a championship player and scored goals oh and so has Campbell but Has bacca or whatever he is called nooooooooo lol
but danny aint leaving and campbell had 1 good season in the last 5 years, so they might need to look else where anyway
Fair comment, i just think it has to be someone who has championship experience who we know and can trust to score goals in the championship
At the moment it's look like a coin flip between him and Campbell. As I am not a massive Fraizer Campbell fan(especially at the 7 mil discusssed price) I'd give Graham a chance. We could secure Brady, Elmo and Meyler and have some left to sigh Graham with the reported 7 million that Fraizer Campbell is going to cost.
£7m ffs - he's out of contract in June not at the beginning of one! I was lead to believe £1.5m would probably secure him. The jury on FC returning is out for me - injury prone, not sure he's the type of player that we're missing... Danny Graham or Morison for me and then only on loan for the rest of the season.. Big Nick should be the Plan B answer but he seems to be becoming increasingly peripheral as the season marches on with SB obviously keen not to let our position slip and with only the Jan window to sort it out..
Ok... Graham would definitely be able to play in this system we got going at the moment, and score goals for fun, but one or two of you may have seen my numerous previous comments regarding my admiration of Steve Morison (born from the way he dismantled us when playing for Millwall). I would be overjoyed if we could get him, and I believe he would be the ideal foil for Aluko not only in the Championship but also (fingers crossed) when we get to the promised land. Either way Morison or Graham would do the business. Campbell has different qualities to both of these, and from the brief clips I`ve seen of his sub appearances still possesses a bit of speed even tho he has had a hard time with injuries. Personally for me it would be Morison, only getting a few minutes from the subs bench, don`t forget this lad is a Welsh international and would love the chance to perform for 90 minutes to get his international record back on track.
All I would say to that is, is promotion worth 3.5 million? But he won't sign for us, 2 goals in 2 games pretty much rules it out if you ask me.
Graham does not need to drop to the Championship, there'll be Premier League interest. And £7m for Campbell is complete and utter bollocks.
Can the Allams pull off the deal of the season? Half season loan with a view to perm if we get promoted. Full wage contribution and a decent loan fee. That is what they wanted to do last January, wasnt it? Whether he would want to come is another question. I cant see too many going in for him from the prem other than relegation fodder, would he rather be in a winning Champ side, or losing Prem side...
