I noticed SWP had his boots on the right feet today. A positive move I think. Next week he will hopefully have tied up the laces.

The first half hour was the worst I can recall seeing for a long, long time. We were a shambles and our organisation at defensive corners wasn't even that good. I'm not sure we can afford to play both Diakite and Mbia in central midfield because they are so similar: big, strong athletes but rarely capable of a decent pass. Mbia pushed forward in the second half and was an embarrassment: he didn't have a clue what to do. In any case, Harry should have replaced him earlier but them Harry's substitutions were bizarre: Derry for Cisse - who would have bet on that one?

Positives? I criticised Onuoha after I last saw him play for offering nothing in attack and being uninspiring in defence. Well, the first part of that assessment still stands but he did so many good things in defence today, including keeping Sterling really quiet. And then, er, um....

That made me chuckle Kiwi. I was looking forward to seeing an inane list and getting ready to shoot it down. Can it get any worse than today? .........

I'm seriously worried about that one mate. I've got to work that night because the bloke I'm swapping with allowed me to go to the Livepool game. It doesn't seem to matter anymore. We are ****e whoever we face, good riddance 2012!
