My biggest tip is to explore the players transfer listed. I got subotic for 12million from city (He currently plays for dortmund) who is astonishing. And Manzuckic (sp) from Bayern who is also quality for very cheap.
Into the 2015/16 season got doumbia and ibra on a free and splashed out 20 million on a transfer listed Cavani to add to Mandzuckic from the previous season.
Well I have at last found a formation I like, a flat 4-5-1 but with the wingers pushed up a lil to become IF's. Scoring so many goals and my possession is at least 58% every game.
Anyone else finding that CBs seem to have an unfair advantage in the game? Might just be the formation I play or something but 90% of games seem to have a CB as MotM and 8 of the top 10 highest average ratings in the Prem at the moment are CBs for me.
Just let your HoYD sort it out and magically their stars will improve. I had a half a star in the youth candidates turn into a four star.
Little tip I've user in the last few iterations of the game. Create a shortlist where the only condition is that the player has Southampton as their favoured club. I found one of England's best goalkeeping prospects playing for Oldham U18s and because he was an avid Saints supporter, he signed for pennies and took almost half the wage he originally asked for.
Spent the first year unemployed, then Leeds came in after a season which they ended 20th, and sacked Warnock. He had a load of **** here, and many many old players. I'm trying to reshape the side (not easy with Ken Bates as your boss!!). Still experimenting with tactics so far but these are my current selection: Leeds - Kenny; Lustig, Wilkinson, Bamba, Lees, White; Green, Martin, Austin; McCormack, Sharp. Bench - Ashdown, Peltier, Kisnorbo, Saunders, Johnson, Poleon, Becchio.
Mixed feelings on my love/hate relationship with FM being rekindled. Love the management side, but the piss poor gameplay engine never ceases to frustrate me. Also don't like what they have done with the training, removing the customisable individual schedules, means you have very little control over your players training and all my players are pissed about their training schedule but there's nothing I can bloody do about it!
Agreed, FM13 has the worst ME I've ever seen on an iteration of the game. They've patched it 5 times already and it's still crap, which is why I've decided to write the game off completely and go back to 12. The training is also awful, and the GUI is just horrible. I don't like FM13 at all. Worst bit is due to a Steam error my FM12 career game was wiped, so I've now had to start a new one over again
Ramirez is absolutely dreadful for me, tried him as an IF on the right, and as an AMC in various roles, and he's been **** wherever he's played.
He's been amazing for me, plenty of goals and assists but he does get injured a lot these days. He's now worth £30m in 2018 and I'm considering selling him as he's 27 so it might be time to cash in, what do you all reckon?.
I don't suppose any of you lovely chaps can give me a run down of how the multiplayer works on FM? I've played it a fair amount over the years but never actually played an online game.
He's 29 on mine and still quality. I don't need to sell though, because I'm ****ing ace. Getting around a goal every two games, rating around 7.6 On my game, I've just won the Champions League in the 19/20 season, and my only reward was being allowed to pick where my training camp was, China or the US. **** that.
