Is the Hull version of our Prossie thread - spouting total bollocks on there at each other so the sensible posters on either side dont get pissed off and leave.

Obviously dont go on there unless you want to.

No idea if the moderators on there know but OLM said its ok:wink:

I personally don't see the point in going on another teams board and behaving like a complete prick. Some people do. I don't

Shouldn't you be on banning duties?

Hopefully might stop some of the crap going on here and also keeps the normal posters on not606, lets face it a few people have gone, never to return - even some of the regulars on JA606 have gone because of constant crap being posted.

If you want to go and wum then theres a thread to do so and leave the rest to have civilised conversation

Rightside, being serious for a minute, you've highlighted a difference between the boards.

The mods on our board see ourselves as cleaners, tidying up after posters. It's the posters themselves that determine what's acceptable because it's their board. You see very few threads with us posting in a mod capacity.

Contrast that with here where at least one of the mods mentions it in a fair percentage of his posts.

This isn't intended to inflame, although I suspect it will.

That's what we have tried to do. I made an announcement to try and sort things out. Me and AKCJ's agreed that some members need a "cooling down period". A temp ban which lasts a few days could do everyone the world of good

As I hope you all know I'm not in favour of banning personally - but having been away over Christmas and come back to what had descended into childish farce I did agree that a 'coolng off' period might be a good idea - mainly in the interests of not losing any genuine contributors that were becoming somewhat disillusioned with the intellectual (I jest!) level of some of the exchanges ..

However, let me say that I love the banter - when it is delivered in good humour / tongue-in-cheek and I hope it will soon get back to that - we have to be able to take it if we are going to dish it out - and we have given some in our time ... I'll be the first to admit that I am prone to visiting other boards (Hull, Leeds, Millwall and Ipswich recently) to allow them the benefit of my 'wisdom' ... LOL

I'm against 'over-moderation' in that, in my view, there is a danger that the board will then become insular - whiach will inevitably lead to factions and in-fighting amongst ourselves...

I would welcome all posters from all boards on to ours as I think it provides both perspective and a healty rivalry (which football is, in essence) provided the posts are above childish insults ...

Thanks for the praise Ben, although I note your Tourette's twitch has led to an involuntary decimal that isn't required ..

Is there any way we can have an adults only board, say 40´s plus, so that all those LC, HC & any other fans for that matter can post or start a thread in a kindergarten free enviroment ? Just a thought.

The next time one of you posts something unnecessary, irrelevant, containing childish insults or trying to start an argument for no real reason... So, you'll know by the end of the day <ok>

The fact the good food thread has already slipped down to page 2 shows how easy it is for them to moderate the forum compared to the amount of **** our mods have to deal with.

EDIT: just looked at their board and it looks like they have 2 active threads about total bollocks, they are called "Fraizer Campbell" and "Danny Graham available??? It seems likely!"

Nah, it just shows which site has the better mods. <ok> Leave this board for mods like Flossy to admin and the bulk of the problem ends.

Erm, how does it? What have you done exactly? It's dropped down to page 2 because we don't care about you, we don't really have anything to say to you... Yes, we could go on there and start an argument for no real reason, but we have better things to do with our time...
