fantastic start to the season, not withstanding vettel's apparent imminent domination. I want to ask what people's opinions on Kovalienan (sp?) i really think he is doing well this season and i hope that he park himself in a more competitive car, or even better, lotus can evolve into a more competitive car (which it seems is going in the right direction) in the next couple of years. Seems rather trivial but has anyone else noticed martin brundles rather frequent use of the word 'mighty'? Perhaps he has adjective deficiency. (I suffered from it for around 3 years) Think him n DC are doing a good job though. Coulthard does remind smack of someone who likes to be given a 'hot karl' or two. Out of interest as F1 fans we all have a passion for the motor car. What cars do you own? and what car do you think about when you should be concentrating on the back of your wifes head? I'd be delighted to hear your opinions/answers. Blumpkin
Think I might get a "classic" car so i get cheaper insurance! If I had money, I would get an Atom that would be fun.
Hmmmm.... cars I would buy if I had the money. Iv always had a Corvette fetish so I could well get a ZR1 and get Lingenfelter to do its dirty business with it. Or just go conservative and go for the beauty of the 458. Until then my 2.2 C5 will have to make do
How about I go off on another angle, I'd like one of these: please log in to view this image But for now I'll make do with this please log in to view this image
Who needs breaks when we have hospitals I use this one but I think I prefer it to my girlfriend's automatic Polo
Ferrari 275 GTS is the car I would have in an ideal world, it is probably the best looking car ever, and it is a Ferrari. please log in to view this image
yeah, I like your style Tambo, not a fan of the ferrari team, but I've always loved the 250LM. They just don't make cars this beautiful any more. closer to art than engineering.
Kovalainen is a very very quick driver: one of the fastest and he is making the difference at 'Team' Lotus. He was also very quick at McLaren but this is all too easily overlooked. Brundle does say "mighty" and has done for many years. However, most people have some mannerisms and he has loads of positives to compensate - unlike Legard who had the most horrendous manner and had no redeeming qualities at all! I have several cars, some of which rarely see the light of day, but my favourite is 'Mizz Nizz': a NISMO 400R (R33 Nissan Skyline). Owned from new and now clocked up gigantic mileage over three continents. Completely standard factory spec although wearing a subtle paint-job. (Standard is stripes and decals). In spite of mileage, she has never so much as blown a bulb in 13 years! Easily the most reliable car I have ever owned with a bomb-proof straight six engine that will outlast me. Highest mileage car I've ever owned by far but I won't part with her! The new GTR would be the most logical move. Other cars?- Well, I usually think about their owners more - and what they'll do to me if they come back damaged…
legard is a moron. I heard him jibberjabbering on the football league show t'other day. Though none of the players were "on a charge"... Skyline sounds nice. I've had my 'new' motor for 3 months and its already cost me 400 quid, i do love it though. Next step for me probably anything where the brakes work and the oil doesnt leak 5 ltrs a week!
why, ty cosi . I've always preferred the sports cars of the 60's, they have such flowing aerodynamics with hardly any of the harsh straight lines that took over from the 70's an onwards. The lack of any driver aids or electronics is also a massive + for me, a car for drivers rather than passengers with a steering wheel. Sadly even if i got the chance I don't think I'd fit in it. a carfor cinderella, but I'm just an ugly sister :'(
Hahaha, you're also very funny! On the subject of Ferraris, I used to have a 308 GTB; whilst it does not go back to the 60s, it also had some (very) rough edges when compared to today's sophisticates.
