I know it's rumour but we're allegedly one of the clubs sniffing about should he not get a decent contract offer.

Also, Arsenal seem keen on Nani. I reckon he'd fit in perfectly with their wimpy foreign nancy boy policy myself. All flash, **** all substance.

If they offer us Walcott plus some cash I think we'd be mental to not snatch their hands right off. He looks a very, very good player in the right hands and can only get better at United. We could also pay him a decent wage.

The only possible stumbling block being Nani would want more than Arsenal can offer.

I think he's got the potential to be world class through the middle. He's a good finisher and he's the fastest footballer in the world.

The only problem I can see is that we already have 3 top class strikers, so I struggle to see how we could fit them all in if Walcott comes aswell.

I don't understand the whole Nani to Arsenal thing, there is no way Arsenal will meet his wage demands, he would want even more than Walcott:biggrin:

Rooney moves back to a midfield role, solved in a flash and kills off Scholes ever having to play again.

    I don't rate Walcott
he is good finisher and fast .. that is it he offer nothing else.. we play in 90% teams who park the bus .. he will never have the space
yesterday he was fresh facing tired legs of NU .. sure he killed him with his pace ..
he will be useful facing barca or Real but not facing Norwich or Stoke .. you must be joking

agree is crazy Arsenal think they can get nani with his crazy wage demands

I don't think our recruitment policy should be based on whether they can play against Stoke or Norwich myself.

    Is that just me?

Just cause he's lightweight it doesn't mean he can't play bus parkers like Stoke and Norwich. You could argue Messi is lightweight and he wouldn't have to many problems against Stoke or Norwich.

    No a billion times.

Hes no better than what we hve ( comparing him to Young here, our other too are far ahead of him. Through the middle hes unlikely to ever get games at United. We have the best attack in football for m right now ( just forwards not AM's, wingers etc, the strikers are the best in football as a unit. Walcott wouldnt get close.

Hes not rubbish, just not what we need. Say if Welbeck got a long term injury it would make sense. He doesnt want to play on the wings and we are as strong as you can get upo top so it makes no sense. We dont need the english quota filling either. Like any self respecting english club we have never ever fielded an all foreign side and we build our success on a core of home grown players unlike some clubs from closer to France <ok<>

This, also it would be the final straw for their fans as well.

so is Walcott classed as a striker now because I would have thought he would be a winger if he came to us

If he wanted to get games at United he'd have to play on the wings. Might be worth it to just piss Arsenal fans off though.

We wouldn't be buying him though, that's the point. According to rumour anyway.

We'd be getting a younger, faster more direct player who can actually finish in exchange for on non trick show pony who, let's all be honest, hasn't been missed these last few weeks.

If there is no actual spend then there is nothing to lose and you get a better, more consistent player than Nani. Younger too.

He probably only wants to play striker at Arsenal because he knows their strikers are ****, that's certainly not the case with us.

Agree on Lampard though, reckon he'd do a great job for the rest of this season and next. Not beyond though.
