Oh **** off with your self-righteous 'holier-than-thou' attitude. Also, I have two words for you: Do Prado (I refuse to use his nickname because it's ****)
Got to love the short memories of the scummers. Save our club game? Cancelled with less than 1500 tickets sold due to "lack of interest" Quickly forgotten now they are in the prem I'm sure. I personally have not missed a home game for 3 seasons and do half the away games. Shame everyone else can't do the same but I'm sure people have different commitments that make it harder to attend that's life really.
So let's bring in a couple of others into this little spat - don't know about anyone else but I'd take more notice of these opinions than the vitriol of the duckhunter. A Millwall fan on the 486 Charlton/Greenwich bus said something very similar, to quote, "I like Pompey, it's a proper club with proper fans".
Lord Duckhunter you seem to have ruffled a few feathers and at this festive time of the year as well, shame on you, and maybe we should I call you Singing Red 3. I think it's fair to say that all clubs have fans who can't make every game and that certainly does not make them a bad supporter.
When they say "2-0 down now - sounds absolutely dire. Boy, am I pleased I decided not to attend today", it does. "Pleased" he didn't attend because they were losing? What sort of support is that. Most supporters I know are gutted to miss a game, win lose or draw. Booing players off, supporters pleased they missed the game, the most famous fan turns up after kick off preferring the pub, piss poor gates, that's what I call 2 bob support. If Westwood turned up on Dragons Den looking for investment in your outfit, Theo would soon change his tune.
Oh noooooooo - it's the football attendance officer! Anyone else remember the old "school beadle"? I'm surprised you haven't taken us to court for failure to attend a match! Jog on you daft old sod.
Hi 3rd eye - your final comment really seems to sum him up. I reckon he is a frustrated old git who doesn't get out much Does he ever post on Saints' NOT 606 site, or does he only ever come on the Pompey site to release his frustrations ? What do you think ? Either way, to my mind, he is a complete saddo, who needs pitying........
Funny how you ignore my point about Do Prado. At least we don't boo our own players when they come on as a substitute before they've even left the touchline.
I was at the recent Saints v Reading match at St Marys, and did notice a bit of booing and chanting, whilst Do Prado was warming up ready to come on as a sub in the second half. Don't know why, as he played quite well when he came on to the pitch.
He's just got the hump because Southampton threw points away again. LD only appears on here when they have lost or cocked up somehow. Be prepared for more "visits" in the coming weeks
Well I was not listening to the radio at the time, but I can assure you I heard no booing of Dizzy McLeod if the radio commentator said this then he must have been going deaf.
I was at the game last week v Crawley- and I didn't hear any booing/jeering of the players from our fans in that game. I predict Izzy won't be with us much longer anyway- he'll leave in January for a team nearer the top of the table. (That shouldn't matter, as the goals have seriously dried up for him these past 10 games!) I'm off to Denmark later for the new year. Amanda's got a Champions League match against a team from Montenegro tomorrow morning, then it'll be time to bring in the new year! I'll be back on the third of January. Happy New Year
There was a lot of noise from the crowd at the time and it was difficult to isolate any of it but it was the Yeovil commentators on Radio Bristol who said there was (some) jeering and questioned the Pompey supporters getting on his back. I'm glad to hear they were wrong.
I think he only likes coming on this board - gives him the opportunity to find something to have a moan about.
Looking at the number of posters you have on here,I would have thought you would be grateful for an extra contributor, at the moment it's about a half dozen of you waffling on. It's going to be even worse on the league 2 boards, but I promise I'll pop along and see how you all are. Happy new year . Pup ppu
