but i thought one thing he was supposed to bring if nothing else, is fight, enthiuasm etc?
maybe i am harsh, just always found him overrated and never understood the clamour for him to be england boss, just my opinion tho.

I think the mess the Dramas are in even Mourinho would struggle to keep them up. Too many average players on stupid contracts.

I would agree to an extent. For him to perform his 'magic' he needs to pick up a half decent side and spend a **** load of money.

Spurs were already good side when he went there and he organised them and chucked a load of money at it.

QPR are mostly bobbins and I doubt Tony Fernandes fancies gambling £30m to try and stay in the league.

We'll see just how good Harry is I suppose.

i just watched a very average liverpool side get taken apart by stoke the other night, and thought this was a chance for qpr to get something, with a bit of your in your face battling etc..especially when i heard liverpool where without there manager..
it is almost as one sided as our game yesterday, and liverpool look like real madrid..
i should probably shut up tho as redknapp may produce a half time team talk and win 4-3 and ill look a bit of a tit <laugh>

... and that's why Spurs made a great decision to get rid and bring in AVB. I said at the time it was a great move, very few agreed.

I looked at the 2 line-ups before the start of the game and stuck a bet on Liverpool. QPR's team looks ****e, they've made Duffen&Brown look like top class operators in the transfer market. They've probably got their 2 best players in Granero and Hoilett on the bench.

and arent those qpr fans enjoying their quest to finish fourth from bottom of the best league in the world? seriously, what is there to enjoy about striving for fourth from bottom. the sooner the premiership collapses up its own a r s e, the better for real football fans everywhere

This myth about the mecurial Harry Redknapp is as much bullsh1t as the myth that Warnock will guarantee promotion from the Championship, the way the media fawn over the pair of them is ridiculous.

this debate always confuses me tho, whats the point of winning if it leads you nowhere? surely the excitement at winning at the moment is the fact it has us at the top competing for promotion..if there was no prize at the end of it, winning would become meaningless like a friendly and we may as well be 18th as 2nd..

People moan about how futile the Premier League is, just endless survival etc... Nothing to aim for... Well have a bloody go in a cup then, and don't put out your reserve side!

However aside from that, I think the Premier League is different now, even since we was last there. Look at West Bromwich, Swansea, Newcastle and Norwich over the past couple of years. Clubs that are arguably our size, and have had a good go near the top of the league.

The ****ing southern **** over Arry likes he some kind of managerial genius despite ZERO evidence of him being any good. In fact quite the opposite. Isn't it funny how they overlook him getting Saints relegated and completely screwing up the subsequent promotion effort. And what about Van der Vaart (sp?) saying of training "he tells us to put some bibs on and run around". I remember that **** on Talksport (not the RH show) say on his appointment that he was 100% sure DQPR would get more points than Spurs under AVB. What a ****ing clown.

The challenge when gaining promotion changes when you reach the Prem.
The challenge then becomes one of establishing the club over a period of time, not winning the league, so its a longer term aim.
Stoke have done this, slowly building a very good squad of players where now they are more or less expected to finish outside the bottom 3 every season. Ask Pullis and he will be aiming for a mid-table finish.

How can anyone say it was a good idea to sack Harry by Spurs, Harry lead them to fourth..... AVB will lead them to fourth at most to. So even if he does get fourh he hasn't achieved anymore than Harry did. And Spurs spent a fortune bringing AVB in and his staff, a fortune sacking Harry. I admit Harry is not as good as they say but his job at Spurs was very good, and there wage budget is absolutely tiny, they spent on fees but not on wages.

a little like Super League I guess.

incidentally, i already have my season pass booked for York City if City get promoted before the premiership implodes up its own arse
