I heard Lewis brings 1.5s a lap to a team, that makes him much better than the 0.6 Alonso brings................. I imagine Brawn is under huge pressure not to turn Mercedes into another Honda, unless he wants to buy it out again, make it good, then make a shed load of money selling it to another manufacturer. Is Hamilton going to be testing the 2012 car at anypoint, or is it straight into the 2013 car when it arrives?
Hmmm, maybe but doubtful. They did it last season so Mercedes could get a better understanding of the new tyres with comparison with the compound the season before that. Don't think Mercedes will want to waste Lewis or Rosberg with the old design considering they must focus on getting the W04 ready for Australia or face some backlash.
Yes. It was in jest to Alonso's comment a few years ago that he brings 0.6s benefit to a team. Ho ho ho, merry christmas.
That could be the next fad for 2013 I reckon. "Did you know Lewis brings 1.5 seconds extra to the car?" My attempt (Top gear style): Some say he brings 1.5 seconds to any car he touches, and when he crashes into Felipe Massa a new Galaxy is created... all we know is he's called the messiah!
It's good to see that the Lewis fans are fired up for this campaign, hopefully it will turn out well and the chance of having a top 4 driver doesn't go wasted. I do however expect to see Rosberg give Lewis a harder time in qualifying than Jenson could so don't be surprised at Australia if he does beat Lewis. But Nico is pretty average when it comes to the first corner and his fighting skills are fair but I haven't seen anything really memorable to write about. Ever since he beat Schumacher and got his first win last season it looked like he couldn't be asked to push anymore until he got the car he wanted to challenge for the world title.
I'm optimistic for Lewis in 2013 if the rumors about the car are true. Don't expect a title challenge but hopefully a couple of wins and podiums. A long shot but perhaps do what Alonso did last season if he had some luck?
Hopefully Lewis won't read this............ http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/104970 Mid-season is when teams were well into their 2013 car designs. Will they have got all the correct data out of their systems if they were struggling to make them work for anything that got bolted onto the 2012 car?
Here we go with the Pr nonsense from them. Seem to focus on ads more than anything, and they wonder why their budget seems to deplete quickly.
Huh? Aren't those pre testing film days used to get all the car systems working and reliable to prevent reliability from holding up their testing programmes.
If they've booked it for the day before can they block the pitlane to hamper the other teams setting up
