Any one see Walcott's smile drop after he scored yesterday. He was the happiest man alive celebrating with his team mates. But when they ran back to their positions his smile drop.
i think Arsenal will pay the contract he wants, be silly if they didn't. there is only 3 clubs he could go to that would be an improvement on Arsenal, and none of them really need him from what i can see at the moment, so he will probably stay. wouldn't surprise me if he signs a contract and goes in the Summer to utd or City, just so the owners can get more cash for him,all about balancing the books at Arsenal, which is a shame, as they could be a quality team if they stop selling or losing their best players. like to see him here, but no chance, don't think the pull of being a fan any more is enough to get players here, they need to see signs of progress and i don't see it sadly.
It depends. If Rodgers can convince Walcott that him, Holtby and the new left back will make us step up then he will at least consider it. Playing with Suarez and Gerrard will have big appeal. I think it is doable. It is all about selling the vision. We are making more progress than Arsenal I feel. We are just moving forward from further away.
Completely disagree. Arsenal are miles ahead of us. He can stay and play with Carzola and Wilshire, also several English youth players who he appears to be friends with. We are already signing the less effective Sturridge, so don't see why Walcott would want to sign for us at all.
...And we've built so well we're 9 points worse off than the exact same point last year I think we've as much chance to get Walcott as Boris Johnson has of winning a gold medal for synchronised swimming.
Now that IS optimism good one. Let's just hope for a better 2013 than 2012 eh mate May your faith and optimism be repaid a hundred fold.
So, apparently Ba is meeting Chelsea tonight. Does this mean they are not going for Falcao??? Sign him up!!! Seriously though, watch Ba (£7m) totally outscore Sturridge (£12m) for the rest of the season.
Except Ba is going to the ACON? So he'll be missing for 2 months anyway...whereas we need a striker now. If we were smart, we'd just follow Newcastle's scouts around and see who they're lining up to replace Ba - then go for them.
What if their scouts start going to watch Carroll? Can't believe we're paying 12 for Sturridge and they'll get Ba for 7 classic Liverpool.
But buying Ba doesn't solve our problems. We need a striker NOW. What good is Ba when he's going to the ACON straight away and we won't see him play for 8 weeks? That's not gonna help us. If we wanted Ba, should have gone for him during summer.
If we bought ba odds are his knees would go within a month. It depends what Walcott wants supposedly he is a Liverpool fan so depends if he really wants to play for us. The other is we could pay him what he wants but not sure that's a good thing.
