Stating the obvious, I know, but we need to bloody start winning. A single win now could see us up a good few places; and there are three teams in varying forms of crisis above us (I don't count Wigan in this), and we need to capitalise on it, or else we are going to be kicking ourselves at the end of the season. And please Saints, if we're buying in January, can we do it at the front end, not on the final day!?
Can I complain about the fact that Jose seems to have a habit of leading with his hands in the penalty area. He has given away several penalties over the years with that.
I didn't notice it during the game but several on Twitter just have. ****in' cheats! Yep that's fair to complain about. He's got away with it several times, too, like today.
Ground breaking analysis of our team, brought to you by the punidts of Match of the Day. Keown "I like Lambert, he's excellent".........thanks for that martin
I'm going to defend Guly and SKD after seeing the replays...the ball comes very quickly to Guly and he had a fraction of a second to react and Kelvin saw the ball very late after the shot came through the defenders legs...It's very easy to criticize but I feel that in both cases they had a split second to react to the ball.
Strange one. We seemed to get lucky with a fair few decisions and the rub of the green with the own goal and deflection for our second and yet not enough luck as the crucial Crouch handball wasn't given and Jeromes shot would not go in 99 times out of a hundred. Perhaps a draw is a fair result just the manor of it that leaves us frustrated.
Some game, and it was tough leaving that chilly place with only one point - however a draw was a fair result as Stoke came at us very hard and relentless during the 2nd half. We would have been well content with a point before the game, and not many of our fans were giving us a prayer. It took an unstoppable strike to win it for Stoke in the end. Yes there were mistakes but in game like that there are bound to be, but overall well done to the lads this afternoon. Onwards & upwards - there are plenty more twists & turns in this season yet and we are far from doomed, unlike some of the posters on here.
adkins got his tactics spot on 1st half and we could have killed the game off. Bit gutted really but the point at stoke and fulham are decent results. sunderland was where we messed up this xmas. now we need to beat arsenal.
Why are some people castigated for suggesting we might go down? Of course it's not what we want to hear and its by no means certain it will happen. But when we're in the bottom three and have been or there abouts all season of course your going to be talked about as relegation contenders. I think we will just about be O.K but think its ridiculous that some people are so certain we'll stay up and then decide to have a pop at others who are less confident.
He was unsighted, it rattled round like a pinball before Upson got the shot away. And the reason he kept flapping at long balls is that Stoke are very good at cutting off keepers. Kelvin did okay.
I don't think anyone is criticised for saying we might go down. I do disagree with those who say we will go down, because we don't take all 3 points against Stoke at home. You can only lose a lead if you had it in the first place!
How the **** did Guly miss that open goal. He played well but he really should have put the game beyond Stokes reach. Awful miss and we were punished for it.
