After beating Burnley we face Huddersfield at home. I dont find it any coincidence that we get a scrappy away win and Andy King didnt play. King is a very good player when things are going well but when you have to dig in a scrap King goes missing. Matty James was given man of the match by Alan Young. Chris Wood should be able to play and maybe Alex Baptiste if the rumours are right. Zak Whitbread had a knock thats why he missed the Burnley game so Nigel might try and get the Baptiste deal done asap. Michael Keane was on the bench and we have Liam Moore so we do have cover. Apart from that it should be the same team so here is what I would go with Schmeichel De Laet Moore Morgan Konchesky Marshall Drinkwater James Knockaert Wood Nugent Subs- Logan, Keane, Dyer, King, Gallagher, Waghorn, Futacs Should Baptiste sign I would play him with Morgan and put Moore on the bench instead of Keane
I think we need to get Nugent and Wood playing together as soon as possible, they longer they play together the faster they will click. I cant see Futacs starting or being the answer but he has proven he is still a very decent option. He has been doing hell of alot more then Vardy. I think we should look at loaning Vardy out to a League 1 team for just 1 month. Let him get some games, score some goals and then bring him back. We currently have too many strikers on the books and I cant see Nugent, Waghorn or Vardy leaving us anytime soon. I think the only thing stopping Jeff Schlupp going out on loan is his ability to cover Konchesky
I think this is an excellent idea. I think Futacs deserves to continue in the super sub role and Waggy will be pushing fro starts, so Vardy is really going to be left in the cold. I think loaning him to a League One side or, even better, a lower Championship side like Barnsley, would give Vardy the valuable experience he needs at this level without jeopardising our promotion push.
I hope you do sign Baptiste before New Years Day, then it will be one less of a threat for us to manage with!
Oh I agree entirely, I just don't think we should play two strikers together who havn't trained together.
Good players click. Obviously we would need WBA permission as officially he is still there player but he might already be here training with the lads. WBA recalled him and they have nothing to gain from keeping him at their training ground for a week. Nigel has alot of contacts there from when he was coach there so maybe he has come to an agreement for Wood to come here already
I won't complain if Wood starts. But I think it'll be better to show him he needs to earn his place and show Futacs he isn't forgotton and his 'super sub' (he says tongue in cheek) role today (played well and hit the bar) should be rewarded
Debuts are very very important for going on a good run, so i wouldnt start him and start the same team.
Huddersfield are a good team for wood to get a debut I'd say, they're pretty average all round without being poor. Their midfield is slow so with your par you should be able to get him some good chances to get off the mark. Having said that, I don't know who you're against after them so it could be even more ideal.

I´d bring Woody on after 60 mins where he´ll score the winner & become an instant success. If Baptiste signs he should only be put on the bench & given abit of time to settle in.
Wood will play along side Nuge I have no doubt. I think Baptise will play in the middle instead of James or Kingy if signed in time.
Blackpool have used him in midfield several times from what I can remember. Only 26 and a versatile player
