If you actually look at Hull's record against the higher teams (including us), it's not great. But they're pretty consistent against lower teams (although they did lose to Peterborough!). I think as relegation starts to become a real possibility for some teams, Hull will start dropping points to teams at the top and bottom of the league.
Hull have a very small squad and few injuries would hit them very hard. They really need a striker who is going to stick a few goals away. Up until now you havent had a half decent striker (in terms of goals) all season We have alot of strength in depth in attacking positions and we are looking at getting some defensive cover with Baptiste. Plus in the past 2 games we have pulled Paul Gallagher out from the cold. That shows the depth we have
If one of the top two teams are going to dip, it'll be Cardiff. Every team Malky Mackay has been involved with as a coach, assistant or manager has had a serious dip, every season. He is a much better manager than most people from these parts are willing to admit, but his one weakness is that he runs his best players into the ground, and then wonders why they're running on empty after 30-odd games.
Cardiff have a decent amount of cover this season plus the ability to sign more players in January. While they didnt look nothing special at all when we played them but they showed they have developed the other side of their game which is something they have lacked for years. For this reason I think they will go up this year
Seven is not a shed load. It's barely a pocketful. It can be overturned very quickly. Remember, it was only a few games back we were above you!
Lesta Gangsta....Have you done the lottery this week? With such foresight you're bound to win. Quote: 'Hull will start dropping points to teams at the top and bottom of the league.' Errr...Just like your lot then. 1 goal in 360 minutes, not exactly setting the world alight are we!
The only thing that worries me about us this season is that, after already playing everyone, they would have got used to our formation and therefore finding some way to stop it from working. I do, however, still think we will go up!
Thats why you need to have more depth and then you will have the ability to change the formation. It will make it alot harder for teams to work you out. Nigel worked you out twice but he knows most of your players inside out and judging by how well we did against you he knows how to counter your system.
A slump might not be 5 games but you will get say 3 games and pick up about 3 or 4 points. It is impossible for you to carry your current run on until the end of the season Apart from Reading last season no one has every continued a run over a long period of time
Contradicted yourself there, you can't say something's impossible and then give an example of someone who's done it. Of course it's unlikely we'll maintain the form of the last 6/7 games up throughout the season, if we do we'll reach over 100 points, it's not impossible though.
I don't expect us to maintain our current form for the rest of the season, it would rather daft to expect to do so. But we are one of the best teams in the league and as long as we strengthen in January, at least as much as competitors, then there's no reason we can't stay in the running. With a quality striker, we'd be running away with it this season, the question is, who else will strengthen enough to pass us? You just signed a quality striker, if we don't, we'll fall behind, but I have no doubt we'll sign one too. There's still half a season to go, someone will go on a run in the New Year, there's many twists and turns to go yet, but you can't be surprised with how happy we are with things currently.
