My ol' man will never forgive him for that. Everytime his names mentioned I just wait for him to bring up the fateful day.
Let's face it we must have had a lot of poor games that season, but I have always believed that was the moment that got us relegated. Daft I know, but no one has said that footie fans are logical.
Have to agree, we threw away many points from winning positions, but that day stands out. 'JUST TAKE IT TO THE CORNER FLAG CROUCHIE!' aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh
Well, he properly wiped his feet on us didn't he. Regardless, he scores so infrequently now-a-days that he'd probably go into shock rather than celebrate!
One things for sure, this thread will pop up at least another three times before the seasons out. Sadly.
Oh fair play. It is good that more and more ex players celebrations are a bit muted. They do seem to realise that it was us that gave them their big breaks in this country. I would obviously prefer them not to score so they don't have to be respectful to us in that sense!!
Spurs are just a mid table team with one special player. Sick of the sight of him this season. Not looking forward to this thread rearing its ugly head after the Stoke game.
Always been the case, HR. The reason being is that, generally in the past, our quality players have always been sold on. As Saints are known for quality players going forward, they have a slight tendency to be able to score goals as well..! Annoyingly, they don't exclude us for all time's sake. For instance, I'm not sure that Danny Higginbotham has scored against Saints [at least, not when playing for the opposition ] though I'm not 100% sure. Has Wayne Bridge scored against us..? He might get the chance next season, if Brighton come up. Actually, I called Gareth Bale a nasty name today. Honest..!
Its the not so quality players than concern me more. My dislike for Kenwyne is high enough already without him fluking a goal against us & celebrating like he's actually a decent footballer. Errgghh.
