Thursday evening was spent at the Hoop & Grapes in Farringdon Street with Steve Castle and Kevin Nugent as PASALB guests. They reminisced about the three years or so that they spent together at Argyle between 1992-5 they were part of a successful period at Plymouth in which Argyle were a free scoring team,....both Steve & Kevin being high up in the goal scoring during that time, Steve had a six minute hat-trick to his credit which he still remembers very well. They both said that it was a good time in their careers spent at Home Park and remember those years as some of the best that they have spent in football.....and were always appreciative of the fantastic travelling fans wherever they went. They said that Argyle's results were always one of the first they still checked on each week, also they are still good mates and keep in touch. Both are still involved in football, Kevin Nugent's career since playing has been more high profile and he has been a temporay manager at times. Kevin has also acquired his coaching badges and one day would like to consider a full time managerial post......PAFC please keep that in mind ?? About 60/70 members turned up on the night, which was quite good so near Christmas and the travelling across London that would be required. We also had two guests from Plymouth, Chris Webb and Ian Newell......Chris was in London because of Union pay negotiations and took the opportunity to pop in. A pleasant evening catching up with some friends that go back to the 1970's when PASALB was first formed.
.........and the same to you BC........you'll have to wait a few hours longer than us for it to reach you......and the same with New Year....all the best.
Your good wishes have arrived Plym..probably took just a split second to arrive..remember when we used to send by post?.. I try to keep up with technology..but at my age i struggle...just like Argyle..lol
Ok sensible.........it's just that there are two sides to every story and the only side we get told is ATD's.......it becomes quite boring in the end and seems to be all consuming. ATD talk of PASOTI all the time...........but even their the ordinary posters (PASOTI's) are venting their spleens over Fletcher at the moment. Can I wish you and Mrs sensible....plus your family a happy Christmas and a prosperous new year for 2013........there will be eleven of us around my daughters including my sons family as well (he and his son 7yrs old, are the Charlton fans) and we are so fortunate to be together during these financially hard times. Ps......all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth.......should this year be changed to a winning football team in Plymouth.
Sorry to hear most of your family are homeless plym but good your daughter is taking you all in.......... Thanks for the good wishes and right back at you as they say these days. You know my feelings about ATD and pasoti plym as expressed more than once. It's pathetic but I still don't think they lie about Newell.
I invited Ian and Chris to the meeting. i did so in my capacity as Chair of the London Branch. I also invited a number of other Plymouth based supporters. Hope that is OK with you?
Well you should get out more and make better friends then. The man is a moron and you can report back that I've said so. He throws enough cyber hissy fits at others so he can throw one at me. Webb is club president so I can understand that. Newell is a different story.
