<laugh> any idea which poster actually set an account up using that name?! I was at a meeting earlier in the year and someone actually said that they hoped the restaurant had enough German shepherds for the south Korean delegation......

Isn't that a spoonerism? Or something.

The festive period ends tomorrow, when my parents go. I'm currently refusing to open another bottle of wine as my Dad is literally ploughing through all my good stuff. I've got no more plonk left for him to sink, ****ed if I'm opening yet another decent bottle he can cane in 25 ****ing minutes flat.

    Necks it like pop, ridiculous.

Be glad to have the house back, I'm absolutely knackered.

Completely agree with you mate - if anything the burger flipper outranks the mod as they actually get paid and can spit in someone's burger in real life rather than slightly pissing them off online.

Always cracks me up when people start going "WHERE ARE THE MODS?!" as if they should be sitting by the computer ready to fight all their battles like an online Batman. I still remember than BillyBob bloke asking me to 'guarantee no mods would release any private information'. Ok, just let me check my mod handbook and assemble the Justice Mod League to fix that crisis for you. WTF?!?

If I ever host Xmas my parents and family have to bring their own alcohol. My dad buys about two cases of Chatueaneuf and he, my uncle and my granddad drink it all by about 9pm on Xmas day.

    Yeah, it's hard work Christmas.

The actual Christmas bit is spent pretty much exclusively with the in-laws, we had meals together on the 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th, I **** you not. Then my folks arrive and we all have meals together for the ensuing three days.

By the end my head is fried.

Today there was break in the incessant rain so we had to get out of the house and decided to head for the beach, by the time we'd got the kids into their wet weather gear it was raining again and my Dad kept saying, "it's raining and it looks serious". I wanted to scream at him, "do you think it's so serious it'll ****ing kill us?"

He'd happily sit there drinking red wine doing the crossword and ignoring the kids while blithely missing the fact that it is doing our heads in. He couldn't wait to get off the beach, it wasn't even raining.

I gave them the keys so we could nip round the shops and when I got home he was sitting there watching NFL highlights because "I don't know how to turn over"

    Mental. Just mad.

One time I walked in and he was sat watching the test card for the gay porn channel for exactly that same reason. It's a remote ****ing control, don't fear it.

They've got an inferiority complex and a desperate craving for attention.

Probably because we were the team that derailed there season, when we beat them at Stamford Bridge. Up until that point Chelsea were flying, and after that they went on a terrible run:biggrin:

So what are everyone's plans for NYE??

I can't decide what to do.

Three options : go to the local it's free. But will be rammed.

Go to a music venue I have free tickets for. There is a band on called the magoo's. only issue is I don't think me an the mrs will know anyone..

Finally go for a drive up to Nantwich to a party at a mates house.. Issue here is I hate staying at people's houses. And will have to drive an hour home in the morning no doubt feeling horrific.

    Staying in.

Have some tea and watch whatever **** is on TV. Might dip into my Inbetweeners box set that I forgot I'd got for Christmas.

Got a genuine baby sit opportunity tonight and I can't be arsed to do a thing, **** it.

The Gerrard thread on the Fallen Scousers' board is entertaining. It's amazing how highly they rate the players who have been letting Liverpool down for the past 20 years.

Swarbs closed and rightly so before I could respond to Matths Gerrard > Scholes thread.

    I'll post my answer here.
