In a way just as impressive as the villa win. A wet Carrow road at xmas is never going to be easy but we basically dominated the game and came away with all 3 points, a bit more like the chelsea that we have become accustomed to !! how cool would it be to un stick the toffees in their back yard next up. Shame about manure scraping all 3 points at home but we have closed on city nicely.

Only Liverpool had won there this season. United, Arsenal and Spurs all beaten. Clean sheet again, it's a start

Very good professional win. Difficult place to win, terrible conditions, but we played some good football and rarely looked troubled. Have to give some praise to Rafa ( which for me, is like taking arsenic ), but his changes reduced our attacking flair, but stiffened up our defence. Maybe this is the kind of selection we should use depending on our competition??
Anyway, good result all round apart from Man U. Mind you Man U + Mike Dean usually = 3 points, so shouldn't be surprised.

Good to see Ake on, even if he didn't do anything.

  6. I suspect a lot of Chelsea fans are dying for a slip up so the Rafa out stuff can start again <doh>

I'm very happy with that result! Norwich on their own park were never going to be easy, but we did what was necessary! Happy days!

Taking out your frustratin on us I see? To be fair it's not everyday Stoke score times and Jones is made to look like Drogba with Walters being the White Pele so kudos ;)

Good performance grinding out 3 points on away trips could be crucial if we want to finish Top 3.

Title ambitions? I'm not even thinking about it... yet.

  10. Frustration <laugh> Read my comments from tonight and you see I am far from a frustrated poster. How can you get frustrated by the expected?

Do you accept Rafa now then?

No question Chelsea were by far the better team and something like I expect to see them - bloody hard to break down.

Other than the opening day I have not found it hard to get at least a little excited during a game (at some point) but yesterday I just could not manage one ounce of it, I just knew we were never likely to score the way your midfield and defence simply strangled us on the day, so full credit to Rafa (even if you don't like/want him) and the team <ok>

Good luck for the remainder and look forward to meeting you again next season.

We will never accept Rafa ever! He is doing what he's paid for and holdng the fort until we get a proper manager in.

I don't understand why other fans are so thick? Rafa could win the quadruple, run on the pitch with a liverpool shirt and **** on it whilst admitting the garcia ghost goal was in fact a dud goal and I'd still loath him <ok>

They just don't get it. No rationale when it comes to football.

How many Scousers would "get behind" Thatcher/Cameron or in fact ANY Tory MP? Just because someone is in charge of something that affects you it doesn't mean you have to like or back them. Total hypocrisy. If Alex Ferguson managed Liverpool tomorrow you'd be the same as Villa fans were when Mcleish took over.

precisely DL. He said we lacked passion, well he's certainly getting a skinful of it now.

I haven't denied Rafa's managerial skills much thus far, but I just do not like the bloke.

Exactly. You can't unsay something. If you say it, there's a good chance you mean it. Just ask Ron Atkinson
