He is a fool, we dont even play 1 up front. We play 2 up front, it is a 3-5-2 formation. The rest just seems like excuses.
Lost 2 games after a very good winning streak and your already calling for his head. Couple of games ago licking his arse. Half our fanbase don't deserve to call themselves supporters because we lose a match Warnock should be sacked, Austin misses a header he's ****, Becchio goes a few games without a goal he's passed it, Paddy let's in a goal we should drop him for Ashdown, Ashdown let's a goal in why did Warnock drop paddy, Jerome Thomas dosen't madly sprint back to defend he should "**** off back to West Brom". But same fans....win a couple of matches Warnock is the man. Austin tackles someone he's class. Becchio scores a double he's a legend. Paddy saves a penalty he's best keeper in championship. Jerome Thomas goes past a man sign him up. Your ****ing fickle and i swear if half the time the fans got behind the players we'd actually turn around some of the matches.
I wasn't licking his arse, I said he got the tactics wrong against Derby and he's failed to rectify his inability to see when he needs to change his system in the last two games. He's tactically inept and he's not the right man to take us forward. Austin is still a good player. Becchio is still a good player. Kenny isn't great but he's good enough. Ashdown should get more game time to keep Kenny on his toes as he does look a bit lazy at times. Thomas is a top quality player and even showed some desire to defend against Forest. The problem at the moment is Warnock doesn't seem to know how to play to our strengths and plays negative tactics time and again. We've won 1 game comfortably all season, against Huddersfield. It's backs to the walls every game when we're winning and why ****ing bother when we're losing.
I don't call three wins a couple of which against lower teams much of a streak, we have more losing streak records than wins. I also said after the wins I won't get excited until after forest and hull
Warnock has said himself he's looking at one or two signings and trying to tie up the loanees. Patel said January is not a great time for doing business. Put those two statements together and it suggests a small budget
Or he's got a point, it's a ****e time to do business. The budget isn't going to be "small" like we're used to, which is what you've implied. I imagine the manager in the summer will be allowed to get the players he wants if he doesn't take the piss. It's not going to be a case of "get whatever's left and cheap" like it has been recently.
And you base this on what actual evidence? From what most people in business know, GFH Capital do not have the level of finance required to support investment in a football team, they may have contacts and the ability to try and obtain the investment of capital required, but that's a long term project.
Well if you're not a complete idiot and you are capable of processing the idea that Leeds United doesn't need investment to get out of the Championship, it just needs to be run like a football club and have it's turnover spent on football, then it's pretty reasonable to assume that a manager will have a reasonable budget for building a team. How thick do you have to be to actually buy into bates' idea that "we need investment to go forward" - we don't, we just need owners who don't piss all the money the club makes up against a wall on projects that are out of scope in our current position, and ultimately cost more money to run than they bring in, further reducing our budget. We juust need owners who aren't going to scare aware the primary source of income. It's not rocket science. If the new owners run Leeds United like a football club instead of a property development business then no club in the league will be able to compete with us financially.
You really do struggle with basic understanding of comments. You also clearly have no business sense or else you would not have responded as you did. Once again, I ask you to take your time and read things, before you respond.
I did read what you wrote, this is always your response when you're wrong. Where have I shown a lack of business sense? It's not rocket science to run a club like Leeds United as a powerhouse in the second tier of English football. It's been run badly for years and that's what has been holding us back, nothing more. What on earth makes you think that a club with a turnover of over £30 million a year, besting even clubs on parachute payments, needs massive investment just to compete? It's a small club mentality that has been bred by bates over 8 years and you've been sucked into it. You've not made an argument against my points, you've just implied I haven't read what you wrote, which I have. Your point was hollow and unfounded.
Maybe Warnock has not comitted himself to longer contract like owners want? so they will not give him large funds hence tie-up loanee's and one new signing. Basically we dont know whats going on but, Warnock seems to be making odd team choice's and formation. Has Warnock got fed up and is playing waiting game or has he got something awe inspiring lined up for us?
The only thing he should be doing is his ****ing job. Play to our strengths and if it doesn't work adapt to counter the opposition. Don't set out to counter the opposition using a formation that your players aren't used to, and that they aren't suited for. If he's trying to get more money to get more players then he's defeating the object of doing so by throwing points away.
To buy players and then pay their wages, you need money. When players are on contracts, they must be paid, even if they are not playing for the first team. The club made just over £300,000 profit during 2011/2012, that is not even going to cover a months wages for the whole club. GFH Capital have no real money, they are looking for investments (look for a share capital bond for supporters by 2014) and until they receive money, they can't give Warnock any, unless of course he sells on players. The reality is without a decent team, who are capable of winning games, the supporters will continue to avoid coming to ER and the merchandise sales will also fall. You need a winning team to bring punters back to games and that means investment in the team, starting January 2013. Facts: The club posted an operating loss of £3.34m for the year ended June 30 2012, down from a profit of £939,000 the previous year. Gate receipts were down by 10.6% to £11.3m. The wage bill for players and management, which now represents 41% of turnover, jumped by more than £1m to £12.7m. The club did make a profit of £317,000 after player sales were taken into account. However, this compares to a profit of £3.5m the previous year.
With the extrodinary outgoings to consultants, developments like eaststand, lawsuits and radio stations yet we make a profit even if it was a penny is still a profit. Do we need a radio station, do we need so many consultations or make liable comments in program notes if we stoped these we would have enough money for new players without investment.
Was this the same people who circulated the rumour that GFHC didn't have the money to complete the takeover?
from my point of view i think he has to go. there seems to be a real lack of desire and the players are going through the motions. he has been in charge for nearly a year and we are in a much worse position now than we were when he took over. If he goes now the new manager gets the second half of the season to get going then hopefully starts next season with some momentum. if villa sack lambert i would take him in a heart beat. if not i believe owen coyle would do a good job and get us playing some decent football
