Ctiy 3-1 up now, but who cares.

Just hope the team is focussed enough not to concede in this game.

Great to have Vida back. I hope he stays fit all the way. Glad Kagawa is playing seeing as Rooney is out for the next 2-3 weeks. He offers good movement and vision going forward.

he lacks end of product so far .. he need to start shooting with more confidence.. you feel he is searching a pass all the time.. Rooney is more unpredictable as like to test GKs too

It will take time mate but with the right team setup he'll create loads of opportunities for the team.
Unlike Rooney he is not a striker but mainly a play maker although you could argue that Rooney plays more play-maker these days.

He seems to be a very efficient forward-one-two-play kind of player and if combined alongside similar minded players like Cleverly, RVP, Rooney and Welbeck, the results will flourish with time.

Not forgetting he isn't physically a Vidic it will naturally take time for him to adapt.

Imagine if Hazard hadn't chosen cash over ambition and we had signed him. We'd be stuck with a lightweight Joe Cole and RVP would be playing for City!

There's no way the Glazers would have shelled out £24million for RVP if Fergie had spent £32million on Hazard. That would have left City as the only club willing to get close to Arsenal's valuation on RVP.

Good result today as someone else mentioned I also thought 1 0 would have come back to bit on the butt but RVP wrapped up the points. Apparantly Rafael and Jones could be fit to face Wigan so barring any injuries today or the next few days we could just have Nani, Anderson and Rooney on the sidelines, Complacency cost us against Wigan last year at the DW and we must not let that happen again.

Good performance, very happy with the clean sheet! My views:

Kagawa looked surprisingly sharp after a lengthy layoff, then faded later on which wasn't a surprise...

I thought Cleverley had a great game, especially in the first half, his movement and running through the west brom team was really promising.

The whole team defended quite well, Vidic looked really solid for only his 2nd game back... De Gea didn't have a notable save to make, our players made many great blocks, good to see...

Welbeck held the ball up brilliantly as usual, some really nice touches. It is so valuable to have him and chicharito as 3rd and 4th choice strikers, they bring such different skillsets and will both continue to improve.

RVP is just class, our best high profile signing since Rooney & Ferdinand.
