I remember being in The Hague playing in a football tournament, I would have been in my early twenties then. We had to raise the money for the trip ourselves by doing sponsored walks etc.
Anyway, we got over to Holland and the footy competition was fantastic, it was great to play against other European teams, but l digress.
Most of the lasses were skint and each day we would go to this mobile vendor and get a spicy sausage in a roll, very cheap and we lived on them the entire trip. Presumed it was beef, turned out to be horse, have to say it tasted great.
Also really like squid but not octopus, once tried Sea Urchin, yuk, yuk, yuk.

Actually sea urchin can be quite nice.

There's a place in Queens that serves live octopus. They chop the legs up and serve it while still wiggling. I've not yet been drunk enough, but I'm bound to get ****ed up enough at some point and try it.

Goat is good, especially when its curried, only downside is it has lots of bones to contend with.
Once had goats head soup cooked for me by a Rastafarian friend, tasted delicious, but ate it mostly with my eyes closed.
Also tried eel pie once, which suffice to say was one time to many. Lol

Eel, when cooked well is lovely. There used to be a restaurant around the corner from me in Antwerpen which specialised in horse meat and eel.

I'm not a fan of horsemeat as that tastes a little tart compared to beef but their eel was simply divine. Have it filletted though, otherwise it's a right bugger of a dish.

I had steamed eel at a Chinese the other week - wasn't overly impressed, had a really strong fish flavour and was a little slimy - a bit like old salmon

Some of you 'Brave' diners have tried things that would challenge Bear Grylls, certainly not for me though, if I'm honest a lot of the things mentioned I wouldn't try because I wouldn't like the texture, not just because of what it actually is.

So to add to not wanting to try squid, (heard it can be chewy), wouldn't want to try eel, or jellied eel, or anything snotty! :emoticon-0141-whew:
