Hey everyone, first post in the saints forum. I've been a daily reader for over 3 years now, no idea why i've never posted before. Really want a win today seeing as i live in the stoke area, most of my mates are stoke fans and i bloody hate the club and fans (apart from my mates). Wish i had gone today, the britannia is only a 20 odd minute drive away, COYR
Sensible idea by Adkins to give Guly his first start away from home, means less pressure on him from the boo boys. I would love for him to score the winner today, one of our most influential players last season who has come under unjustified criticism for no apparent reason. Come on you maverick samba assassin!
Spurs beat Sunderland 2 1. I saw Bale picked up another booking for diving, it looked like contact to me, a knee on the back of his leg caused his downfall.
Clyne must have a knock not to even make bench. Other than that I quite NA's thinking, we've still got good attacking options and he would be stupid to pick a side without trying to combat Stoke's physicality as well. Make no bones about it they will put us under pressure but if our players perform as well as we know they can I reckon we can get something today.
I agree about the boo boys. But I don't think this is a game which will suit him I hope I'm proved wrong. Guly seems better with more space and although he works hard I don't think hes actually that great at getting stuck in (He's not lazy just not one of his strengths) think this match suits Davis more so would have played him. However I can see Guly producing some magic, don't hold your breath that it will actually change the boo boys though unfortunately!
Team selection has ruined my dream team for the week. Doesn't Nige know how close things are in our league!?
