------------------------- Well Hey There Sports Fans, and welcome to the final installment of the weekly CanariesSoccer Match Center. This gameweek see's Canaries line up against defending EPL Superbowl Title Holders Manchester Sheikhs. Last time out Canaries were defeated Nothing vs One @ The DeliaDome against London Blues; this result came despite a spirited performance which saw the Norfolk State De-Fense hold out against a Blues off-fense who converted eight score attempts in the previous gameweek versus Coach Lmaoberts Villols. Coach Hughton: âWhat I have been pleased with is we had a really tough game at West Brom against a side that have been doing well and then against a side with real quality and managed to make them really tight games. We lost them by one goal and in both we possibly could have got more. Thereâs no points target, its about producing what we did in the first half of the season when we started slowly then went on a good run. We know what we have to do to get the points that we need" Canaries will once again be without S-A-P J. Ruddy who is expected to be with the med-team until March, however in his absense Freshman S-A-P M. Bunn has proved to be a capable deputy - the rest of the squad remains, on-the-whole, injury free. Canaries will be cheered on by a sell-out DeliaDome crowd who will be sure to try to influence the Line-Referees and force some interceptions for their Franchise. please log in to view this image For Sheikhs, this ballgame has almost become a must-win matchup as their inter-city rivals Red Devils have extended their lead at the top of the EPL Divisional Standings to 7 ballgame points. Last time out Sheikhs were unexpectedly defeated in disappointing fashion versus Coach O'Neill's Black Catz, giving them all the more impetus to really take the game to Canaries and demonstrate what a devastating off-fense they really have. Coach Mancini: "âIt hasnât changed. At this moment, United are better than us, they are at the top, but we have time to recover. We need to resolve our problems before and after, maybe we can win. Itâs no problem, seven points. Thatâs not important. We know United are a fantastic team and probably they will win every game, but the season is long and it is not important if it is six or seven or four points.â" In front of the packed DeliaDome Bleachers Norfolk State will be sure to give it their all in order to take something from the matchup, but it's difficult to see anything other than a comfortable Sheikhs victory - particularly after they converted 11 score-attempts against Canaries last series. In reality Canaries will have to hope that Sheikhs have an off-day, however if Coach Hughton gets his ballers playing at full capacity we could be in for a real treat This sure is going to be a great Soccer matchup, so fill up your Coca-Cola⢠tankards, get your hot-dogs and grab a seat for this smash-and-grab matchup, brought to you exclusively on Not606! PC, we owe you a big debt of gratitude for these marvelous threads, appreciated not just by us, the home fans, but also by the vast majority of the opposition fans too! Thank you my friend and enjoy your leisure time!
Trouble is, when there is a home game, most of the contributors are at the game so there is only a few of us posting. I think the lucky, selfish buggers ought to take their iphones and ipads and contribute during the game. At least they can smell the liniment and the fear in the opposition! Is their Wi-Fi at Carrow Road?
I'm sure there are also many like myself, who rarely contribute, but always look forward to these match day threads. I shall fill up a tankard and give it a tip in your direction. Bloody well done all these years, from the wilderness of league one to playing the reigning champions of English football.
28 Bunn 02 R Martin 05 Bassong 06 Turner 18 Garrido 04 Johnson 07 Snodgrass 12 Pilkington 14 Hoolahan 27 Tettey 16 Morison Substitutes 13 Rudd 20 Barnett 24 R Bennett 08 Howson 17 E Bennett 10 Jackson 37 Kane
I, too, shall tip a tankard. Whoever takes over the match-day-mantra duties has a particularly hard act to follow So does Steve 'I'd rather be somewhere else' Morison this afternoon. He was so anonymous vs West Brom we might as well have been playing with 10 men
No holt oh buggerations If he's doubtful, maybe he is being rested for Tuesday Hope Kane or Jackson get more than 10 mins as well
Thanks for all of your kind comments! Ill host a nostalgia and proper send-off thread at some point. Morison in last chance to impress saloon today. Praying he can prove me wrong.
