Today the Chairboys set sail to the wet country again to take on the Pilgrims at Home Park (weather and pitch inspections willing) major changes are expected to the Chairboys team after the mauling in the A40 derby on Boxing day the two Mattâs are welcomed back from suspension with different degrees of excitement and fingers crossed for Big Dave and Deano while Joel serves the last game of his unjust ban, let hope we can field a strong team and a much improved performance and return to winning ways. For me I expect us to come away with at least a point http://www.wycombe.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=303657
my main concerns today are the newer injurys - dunne and scowen both went off injured against cheltenham and evidently lewis had to have treatment afterwards. i suspect matt spring will be put in the team and whoever is in a better staate out of lewis or scowen will be put next to him. denis oli shoudl be dropped immediatly for mcclure and i would be tempted to give morias a go at half time if things arent working... im going for a draw today
i would be happy with a point but with our dismal record in the west country and our horific injury list i just cant see it .
I'd be tempted to start McClure and Morias up front together in place of Oli and Kuffour as both were useless at Cheltenham. Kuffour still hasn't scored for us and is being picked on the belief that he will eventually score. That is if Morgan is not available.
I'm amazed the game is on as it's been piddling down non stop for 2 days in the west and the strong winds will affect the match, still the conditions will bring Plymouth down to our level i imagine so a 1-1 draw would do me.Just hope Winfield is fit.
same... as pointed out on the gasroom its remarkable how much difference a change int eh medical staff can make. some injurys can be put down to challenges and bad luck but the amount of hamstrings/thiegh/groin strains makes me think somethings not right...
i can't remember a wycombe squad so deprived of so many players in my long time of watching the blues.on the other hand ainsworth has done well since taking charge, and it's nice to see so many youngsters being given a chance.
sheff weds player booked twice and is still on the pitch........nice to see the refs are ****e in all divisions and not just ours
Todays team: Archer, McCoy, Wood, Stewart, Hause, Ainsworth, Lewis (c), Spring, Andrade, McClure, Kuffour. Subs: Harrison, Ehui, Angol, Morias, Oli, Azeez. Just the six subs for the Wanderers this afternoon Bit worried about central midfield, Spring has been anonymous all season and Lewis certainly was on boxing day. Two experienced players who should be making an impact.
